Where does the money come from?
It's all about non-donation fundraising
If we had a nickel for every time someone told us that SocialTransactions sounded too good to be true, we could just cut you checks based off of that. (Just kidding.) The truth is that at first, we thought it was too good to be true as well. It’s not, but the process is so simple that it can be confusing. Let’s take a moment to break it all down. The pool of funds we’re collecting commissions from has been around since the early days of the internet - we’re just the first group clever enough to take advantage of this money for the benefit of you and your organizations. The whole process lives in the Online Affiliate Marketing world, where businesses send commissions to affiliates (advertisers, middlemen) for customers that make purchases on sites. These commissions are the funds that STRX collects from: when one of your supporters makes a purchase online, our web app collects a percentage of this commission to later be sent to your organization. As you already know, the STRX web app that makes this all happen is not only easy to install, safe, nearly invisible, but also accepted by more than 18,000 online merchants. There’s no need to check a list of merchants before your supporters buy something online either - our flower will appear in your browser when you’re purchasing something that will create a commission.
See, easy peasy.
