I really hate it that everyone’s saying as many bad things as possible about Hexed before it’s released; don’t be surprised then that Disney isn’t putting out any original films, you motherfuckers.

Fun fact: I thought of this in church
Viziepop is being criticised for releasing HH on Video Prime, accused of having sold out and no longer being indie; but given that the TADC is available on Netflix (also a digression; it’s often the case with anime films that they’re only for fans of the series in question, and they’re rightly criticised for that, but the fact that the final episode of a series is shown on its own, not as part of a marathon, is something everyone turns a blind eye to; Glitch has already received a lot of money from the Australian government, so a bit of milking the fans probably won’t do any harm) and is in cinemas, everyone congratulates Gooseworx, just as with the film Backrooms; no one tells the director that he’s sold out to the corporations and other such magic words.
I was also going to say that the aim of every company is to make money
It amuses me (and annoys me) how people were constantly complaining about a lack of originality because big bad Disney makes sequels, and now that the artwork for Hexed has been released, they’re complaining about that too. Or take Hoppers – relatively little is said about it, yet Hoppers also cost $150 million, just like Zootopia 2; Hoppers grossed around $360 million, whilst Zootopia grossed over $1.5 billion.
I don't know who needs to see this but, remember: people can either be the nicest ever or the scrum of the earth you scrapped off the bottom of your shoe.
Spread positivity where you can, but don't try moving a mountain with your bare hands. Your genuinly good morals and outlook, expressed softly or like a smack in the face, will always be thought of as anger and 'being pressed' because they (bad people) don't have the insights to understand compassion like you have been blessed/cursed to experience.
I'm not pressed, I'm heartbroken by appalling behavior because I'm tired of it but in this society being a genuinely good person is being naive.
What's more naive fighting for the good in people and for those who embrace it to have a voice to inspire others so that as a society we can progress in culture, technology, and economics, OR sitting around thinking all is well and nothing is wrong and the scream of those suffering is just the wind rushing past your ears at a weird angle?
Huh, When you put it like that it's pretty obvious... 🙃
gender is such a weird concept to me, and yet it’s prevalent in literally all of society.
a lot of story tropes relate to the character’s gender, like the weird “instant rivalry” that show producers seem to think every pair of main character girls have, or the whole thing with manliness vs femininity.
and then there are clothes, where I can’t find any cute cat designs on clothes made for my body type, and if I want to wear anything formal, it has to be either “masculine formal” or “feminine formal”, since for some reason we can’t just wear what we want to events.
never even mind the issues we’re currently facing with RESTROOMS. If the restroom is only to be used by one person at a time, it doesn’t need an assigned gender!!!!! Just make two gender neutral restrooms so people don’t need to wait for their assigned bathroom!!!!!!!
A Radical Idea
Here’s an idea.
What if, and here me out,
What if the government
Enforced our right to
Life, liberty,
And the pursuit of happiness?
Whether born into wealth or poverty.
We are all born with the right to live.
Whatever race you are,
We all have the right to freedom.
If your happiness doesn’t intrude
On other people’s rights,
Then you have the right to be happy.
Since these rights belong to us all
Why are people sad and hungry?
Why are people discriminated against?
Why do people die
When a cure exists to save them?
What if our government gave us the tools we need to achieve our dreams and help the world instead of letting our own citizens interfere with other people’s rights? Wouldn’t that be something?
A thing I just don't seem to get
So I’ve noticed not only on social media, but also in real life how some people just won’t shut up about being ‘real’ and honest with others and how much they praise this 'realness’. However, those so sophisticated individuals seem to usually surround themselves with the most fake and hypocritical people possible. Does that mean that they get selectively blind? Or that they just can’t practise what they preach? Are upfront people really that rare? Is it good only on theory? I’m puzzled.
I wish people would recognize that whether through media or through school, society makes us unconsciously hold stereotypes and bias that influence our opinions and actions towards minority groups. You may not have an issue with a certain group of people, but you damn better believe that you have some bias and stereotype about them ingrained in your head.
