Who you are and what you believe are not always so cut and dry.

I believe in helping people in need, but I also believe that people should at least TRY to help themselves. The world isn't fair, and it's never going to be. It's not going to be the world that helps you, it's going to be people. Individual people. The government needs to approve a higher wage, and start contracting smaller businesses over corporations. This way smaller business owners have all chance all staying afloat when their overhead increases. Corporate owned government is the literal sole source of our problems in the USA. Greed begets only more greed, and those of us who refuse to become money machines are left floundering. Greed will be what kills us all. I believe there are things that are offensive, and I also believe that some people just need to sit down, shut up, and recognize that they are acting like gigantic babies. I don't have time to make sure I didn't hurt your feelings. Don't blame the victim, but make yourself a victim either. Sometimes you just have to look at folks and say, "I disagree. I think you're a douche. Guess we're not friends." I think you should fight for what you believe in, but you should pick your battles. You can't win them all. And if winning a battle means crushing the spirit of your opposition, all you've done is set up for another battle in the future. Nobody came out of it peaceful...the enemies are still there. You have to choose which fight is more important:the fight for whatever issue you're feuding over, or the fight for peace and a flourishing future. The issues can always be readdressed. Science and religion don't always see eye to eye, and for an analytical mind, this can send you into a tail spin. Sex and gender are not the same thing. There are more than two genders, which has got to be some sort of natural mathematical happenstance. But for those who don't get it, it's OKAY to not understand. We are still learning more about the structure of DNA and the initial discovery happened over a century ago. Just don't be a DICK about it. I approve of soldiers, but not the wars they have to fight. I am thankful that there are tons of men and women ahead of me who are willing to be in all war zone because I am not. Don't misunderstand me, depraved individuals who seek out to rape people, kill animals and children, and other inhumane acts...they should be dealt with accordingly. Positive mark for the US is that if a soldier is dishonorably discharged, he or she is going to basically die of shame because it will follow them. Forever. Real soldiers do not approve of nor do they associate with those types of people. The part of war that is the most sickening is that these men approved women are following orders...because if they don't, they don't survive. Blame the politicians and the money handlers for the war, not the soldiers. They still believe in the military we USED to have, not the bullies they're brainwashed into being. There needs to be a hierarchy in society, but not based on the credentials it currently holds. A leader to unify us, not reap all the benefits. A leader to represent us, not herd us like sheep. There need to be more opportunities for changing your standing. Think of the pyramids, though. Which is the most imprtant part? The point at the top? Or the very bottom holding the rest of the thing up, keeping it from crumbling? Food for thought. Wake up, America, and realize who we are, not who the manipulators want us to be.
