As the first snow is falling outside my window I am excited to announce the release of the Kerstin Socks knitting pattern, designed by me.

The colorwork on these socks is created using slip stitches combined with knit stitches and purl stitches. With this technique you only need to knit with one yarn colour at a time. The colorwork section of the sock uses small amounts of each colour, meaning it is a good project for using up leftover yarn. The socks are knitted cuff-down. The pattern contains a guide for choosing colours. The pattern is available in English and in Swedish.

These leafy socks are inspired by William Morris, one of the most important textile designers of the 19th century as well as a poet, artist and social activist. He was a major contributor to the revival of British textile crafts and production.

These socks are knit cuff down with the cuff worked in a rib stitch with US1.5 needles (2.5mm) which is then increased to US2.5 needles (3mm) for the colourwork. The heel is a slipped stitch heel flap and the toe is grafted with Kitchener stitch.
