Can you believe this royal blue glowing beauty is actually Sodalite? Normally Sodalite is an opaque stone, but as I have found recently, if it is cut thin enough, it actually allows some light to shine through. The color is marvelous. It reminds me of gel Sugilite but blue. Sodalite is often overlooked for more rare stones, but if you stop to enjoy it, you notice the lovely contrast of blue and white patterns that it displays. It also takes a great polish like this slice. It was very difficult to photograph because the polish is so good, it reflected everything!
