So, everyone's been on the hunt for a recipe for the olympics chocolate muffins filled with ganache. The catering is by Sodexo Live, and I found the head chef's name on this sodexo "love of food" website.
It might not be the exact same, but I think it's closer. If you used the fudge cake as the muffin base, added square chocolates (like what aldi has for baking chocolate), and then piped the ganache in last, I think you're getting close...

Christmas is around the corner, and people are starting to shop gifts for their loved ones, buy ingredients for their Noche Buena and travel for them to relax. But what I love about this time of the year is giving gifts and of course receiving some too..
Last week, I received a Sodexo Gift Certificate from a friend. She gave it to me because she has a lot of it and she also mentioned that these Sodexo GCs are forever! Yes, you read that right! It will be always valid, and if it reached it’s validity, the revalidation and replacement of it are free of charge for once. Pretty impressive, no?
Anyway, back to our topic, my friend who gave me the gift certificate, was sharing her blessings. This may count as my Christmas gift from her too. Thank you, friend! (We all need a friend like this, really!) But there’s one problem, she gave it at a wrong time. The week before she handed it to me, I already did my Christmas shopping. So I came up with an idea!
Today, I’ll let my boyfriend shop! My boyfriend and I are going strong for two (2) years. We love going to places, and trying out new food. He is just the best (I know, all girls with boyfriends can agree, right?). He is very understanding, caring and protective. He’s also patient when I go shopping, and now, it’s my time to treat him! It was 5pm when he fetched me at my place. He has no idea of what will happen today. I just told him that we’re going to the mall. It was usual, he thought that I’ll be shopping again and we’ll eat after. When we arrived at the mall, we went inside of my favourite stores, and after some time, I went inside his favourite shop. I went inside Bench and tried to look around.
I saw him looking at some tees and asked him if he was going to buy those, and he said yes. “Let me pay for those”, I replied and handed him the gift certificate. He was shocked (Too bad, I didn’t get a photo of him). And I insisted that he should use the Sodexo Gift Certificate and I’ll be disappointed if he’ll refuse.
At the end, he used it and he was the happiest. After shopping, we ate dinner and went home. I’m really happy because I saw him smile. That’s the best part!
And for couples out there like us, who are still studying, it doesn’t mean that we, girls, always let the guy pay for everything. Because, in fact, most of us are still depending on our parents. The money that we have, came from our parents. So, to be practical, we need to have the initiative to pay sometimes, or insist to split the bill (Don’t get me wrong, but this is just my opinion about having a relationship while studying).
In the future, I’m planning to give some Sodexo Gift Certificates to my friends as a gift on their birthday or if ever I receive some again, I would love to treat my family to a restaurant and shop some clothes and shoes for them. My own way of saying thank you, and showing how much I appreciate and love them.
