Tragedy isn't funny, and it isn't fair. I don’t need my parents to tell me that--but I wish they could. I wish they would. It’d make this whole fucking week easier to bear.
Listen. I know it’s silly, and I know it’s a dangerous habit to pick up, but I can’t help but hope that this storm is kind of like my cry for help across time. And maybe if I let it eat this town alive, somewhere, in some corner of space, at some point in time, my parents will hear me. They’ll come running back to me.
But that thought isn’t only dangerous, it’s tempting. And I have to be better than that. I have to better than who I am at my weakest moment. I have to be the kind of daughter they’d be proud of.
And if I’m wrong? Well, there’s always a chance to rewind.
OKAY... I think ??? This is all of the Alien costumes/props etc that were at the pop culture museum in Seattle. I made sure to take pics of all of them for @sofialamb 💙 hopefully they aren't too blurry. I'm bad this shit lmfao.

@sofialamb she didnt do nothin i just love this bitch
I'm really intrigued that Vulpes is Finn's older brother! this is just a general question because I love her already: does this ever get found out by them or not? and what are her memories of him as a kid like?
Thanks!!!! :^) Oh man, you might regret giving me a chance to rant about them
Basically, they got separated when the Legion attacked their tribe back in Utah. Finn was raised by a Desert Ranger and eventually joined the NCR because she hated the Legion and... we know what happened with Vulpes. They actually recognize each other in Nipton, Vulpes tries to reconsile, Finn is very... hateful. They used to have a really good relationship as kids (they basically didn’t have any other friends because they both wanted to explore the world and just. leave. nobody wanted them to do that ofc), hence why Vulpes tries to be somewhat nice to her. Finn hates him for everything he’s done, but she also comes to realize that it really is her brother and she still kinda cares about him. Vulpes comes to realize some points Finn makes too (which I think is a lot with him). But they both have problems with LETTING GO and basically, even though they form some kind of truce, they both know it won’t last and that at some point it will snap. (Which it does lol, hopefully I’ll stop procrastinating and finally write the fic I wanted?)
Also: They call each other “brother” and “sister” because if they called each other their “new names” (Finn and Vulpes aren’t their birth names), they’d accept they aren’t family anymore, that they’re completely estranged. But they also don’t call each other their old names because it’s not who they are anymore.
Boy, I love them and I hate myself for this tragic backstory
1-7 for any of em
I’ve got so many.. I’ll pick Charles (vault dweller)? Just bc he needs some development..
1. Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with? Charles comes from a large family with three sisters and two brothers. His sister Teresa is the closest to his age by only one year, but he’s closest to his oldest brother Ted. Since his father was always busy and a bit absent minded, a lot of Charles’ raising went to Ted who was nearly 16 when Charles was born
2. What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?
His mother died not long after birthing him due to how weak she was from his birthing, her older age, and her generally high stress levels. Without knowing her he’s never had a strong opinion of her
3. What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?
His father was the head dr of the vault and as such was always ? P busy. By the time he had his fourth child he began spending less time with his family, instead focusing on trying to cure various illnesses (though he was never very good and sort of messy with his research). If you’d ask Charles about his father he’d say “I’m sure he’s nice”
4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?
The light from the sun as he first left the vault’s cave. Ian’s corpse on the irradiated shore. The Master’s peering eyes. The skin falling from his body as he began to change. Any member of his tribe could tell you what they think it all meant to him, but he’s never told anyone the truth, never been able to put it into words
5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?
A ratty box of bandaids, bullet casings, notes with doodles all over them, and a few caps with mysterious stars on them
6. Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?
When he’s younger, water. When he’s older, his family and tribe. Their odd beliefs and way of life.
7. Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares?
Ian and his death, then later the visage of his young self. Computer monitors and rotting, bubbly skin.
