Day 17: Soft Glances

Alya was sure, Nino had the softest eyes.

Well, yes, she was biased, she was his girlfriend. But she was sure that this was true to anyone.

Nino had the softest eyes, that was a law. Marinette and Adrien actually agreed with her on that, even if Adrien seemed a little unsure with the prettiest girl in class next to him.

Not that he said that. And not that Marinette noticed.

But back to that, Alya was certain.

His eyes consisted of a warm brown which ran down to a molten gold that pooled on the bottom of his iris. Alya found herself sighing everytime she was allowed to see the warm golden shimmer in his eyes when he looked at her and smiled.

His eyes really were the softest.

In return, Nino was pretty sure Alya’s eyes were the softest.

Sure, he was biased, he knew that. After all she was the most beautiful girl in the world to him. But he was sure and constantly lost himself in the deep hazel green, wonderful eyes when she allowed him a minute of silence. When she wasn’t moving, running around, babysitting the twins, when she just stood or lied in his arms and sighed, her eyes locked onto his without any distractions.

When she was his, only his, for the moment, and gave him the most wonderful view he could imagine.

This was such a moment, this right there. They were in school, working in a group project in different groups. The class was silent and they were working in piece, each had a text they were working on and the discussion phase hadn’t begun yet.

Nino looked over to Alya’s group, his eyes travelling along her body and his lips subconsciously stretching to a light smile while Marinette slapped on his fingers with her pen, making him snap back. Her firm stare told him not to check out his girlfriend and instead work but he couldn’t help it. When he was sure his friend was working again, he glanced over to Alya.

This time, his girlfriend seemingly felt his gaze and turned to him, smiling back as he blushed. Her giggle ripped him out of his stupor and he turned back to his work but soon after that he couldn’t help it, his gaze found hers once again.

She smirked and he smiled, their hearts both leaping.

Without missing a beat, though, Nino immediately pulled a face and Alya muffled her laughter in her hand, quickly regaining her control and making a face back. This time Marinette caught him again and made him work yet again, not wanting him to hang behind when the group was done and had to discuss the things they had to collect from the text.

Though, Nino couldn’t care less.

His eyes wandered, over the blackboard up front and then the other group in the first row back to his girlfriend who sat with Max and Rose, working concentratedly. Or so it seemed. She turned her head and he grinned when she caught him staring, her eyes lighting up in joy and her lips stretching in a smile.

He found himself craving a kiss, suddenly, and bit his lip, causing her to look down. Her blush made it obvious that she wouldn’t say no to a few smooches either. He’d have to kidnap her during break, it seemed.

“Nino I will nail your head to the table if you don’t stop staring right now.”, a voice in front of him whispered suddenly, and he whipped around to see Marinette glaring at him, her eyes narrowed. He gulped.

“S-Sorry.”

“You looked like you wanted to undress her right there. Gross!”, she added and he blushed deeply, shaking his head.

“N-Not true! I just-… I-… I’ll work now.”, for some reason, the thought of having to tell Mari that he wanted a kiss from her best friend was more embarrassing than objecting to that undressing theory. Though he couldn’t deny-… NOPE. He was fifteen, Goddamnit.

No, more importantly, she was fifteen!

Nino sighed before concentrating on his work again, but for some reason, the words didn’t make sense in his head anymore. All he could think about were Alya’s soft eyes, her red lips and her small giggles.

Man, he had it bad.

After another few minutes, though, the longing became too big again. He looked up to see her just turning to him, their eyes locking. She smirked at his desperate glance and slowly lifted her hand.

“Miss Bustier?”, the teacher looked up, “May I go to the toilet, please?”

He caught her gaze once again, then nodded. With swift movements, Alya got up and left the classroom. Nino waited for a few minutes before also lifting his hand. “I forgot something in my locker, can I go?”, he asked and Miss Bustier gave him a nod, allowing him to get up. Careful not to run, he stepped down the stairs and left out the door, already grinning as his steps fastened to a light jog down the stairs, to the locker room where the toilets were also located.

Inside, Alya already waited for her boyfriend.

She knew he had gotten the message and that he would get out to meet her.

After all, she was already finished with the task and she knew he wasn’t too slow either.

Soon, the door opened to reveal the taller boy, so she immediately pounced on him and pulled him away with her hand tightly wrapped around his wrist, hearing him chuckling as she pulled him out of eyesight.

“Impatient much?”, he commented, but she didn’t care as she turned to him, made him lean against the lockers and cupped his face.

“Maybe a little.”, she responded breathlessly before leaning close, feeling him nuzzling her nose before pressing a kiss to her lips. She couldn’t help the little smile that surfaced as he wrapped her into a warm embrace, letting her melt against him.

“I love you.”, she whispered.

“I love you, too.”, he mumbled back.
