another throwback to some wheel spun mohair, the softest fiber to ever possibly exist. despite being soooo slippery to spin, the result is so worth it.

this fiber came fresh off the goat and took me two days to separate from the undercoat shavings, pluck out all the farm grass…. and wash out the oils. but it was such a good excuse to sit outside and soak in the sun while I did it.

Finished my fluffy brioche-knit-like beanie! This is the second time I've made this beanie (but the first time for myself!) and the 'tree/leaf' motif is still one of the most interesting and challenging motifs I've ever made.

I wanted something yellow, warmer and squishier than the first one I made, so this time I used two DK wool yarns-- one mohair-- held together with the suggested hook size. Because there's a lot of slip stitching and short rows, the recommended experience level is adventurous intermediate to advanced.
