i got invited to a hockey game and i know nothing about hockey help
the basics: bunch of people with knives on their feet try to get the puck into the net while one bigger person stands in front of the net and does whatever possible to stop that from happening, and depending on the league (if its like, a casual thing ? as opposed to minor leagues or the nhl) it might be very very violent or else less violent but still violent because a time honored tradition of hockey is fucking your opponents up. however, it is mostly illegal, and if the refs see it and feel like doing their job, they forcibly escort people to the sin bin (box where you sit and think about your actions) for usually two minutes, or more if it was particularly bad
anyway they are fun to watch (especially if u were invited to an nhl game because its playoffs right now and even if u know nothing and don’t care about the teams, its still very intense and competitive). u should go if u want to ! 💙
