here's a Horror!Patton moodboard for @softlogic's horror!sides AU!! Horror!Patton seems really sweet and likes to make people cookies and tea, but they're actually poisoned and that's how he kills people
While Thomas knew he had several sides (the four main ones he usually talked to and some others... switched versions…), there were a few things he still didn’t know about himself.
He had talked to all the sixteen sides before, and even though he still focused on the main four, they were all fun. A few more… peculiar than others, but still very much Thomas-ish.
And all of that made him confused. After all, all those sides were… well… not mean. Even the other Prince wasn’t truly evil, he was just sarcastic and mean.
Which made him think ‘who the hell has control of my evil side?’
Thomas was no psychopath, but everyone had a darker side, right?
Curious (and a bit intrigued), he decided to make a visit to his mind. Sitting on his bed in the middle of the night, he clicked his fingers and once he opened them, he was in a small clearing in a forest. In front of him, the main house where the main four lived. To the other sides, other houses where the other switches versions lived. He smiled, but held back the want to visit any of them. He had to find out if he had any… others around.
Thomas gave a step forward, and out of nowhere, he fell.
“What…” he groaned, looking back. His foot was over a small metal bar he had never seen before. Frowning, he turned around, sitting up, and moved the dirt away to reveal… a trapdoor?
He had never seen that trapdoor before.
Slowly, he opened it up, and frowned even deeper as he saw stairs leading into a black abyss. Upon looking down to it, he felt a shiver going down his spine and his throat closing.
Well… He was in there to explore.
Slowly, Thomas moved to the stairs and started to climb it down, looking around. His hands were trembling slightly, but as he went down, the black abyss started to become tall, dead trees. Soon, he could see the dark floor. When he reached it, he looked around the dead forest, no moon in the black sky, and yet somehow he could see the path.
A path through the trees that lead to a house made of nightmare material.
Thomas swallowed thickly and slowly begun his walk to the house, always checking to see if the stairs were still there. Yes. Good. Quicker than he thought, he reached the house, slowly walking to the front door and hesitating for a long time before raising his hand to knock on the dark grey door.
Before his hand could touch the wood, however, the door opened, and he gasped, stepping back.
It was Morality. Or… another version of him.
He was… well… very much alike Morality himself, with the same clothing in darker shades. And he was… constantly smiling. A wide, freaky smile that would scare anyone with a good mind.
“Thomas. We were expecting you” he said, moving away from the door. “Please come inside. We are so glad you finally came”
“You were-” Thomas started, cleaning his throat when his voice went two octaves higher than usual. “You were expecting me?”
“Of course” Morality laughed. Thomas flinched. “We were waiting to the day when our host would finally want to meet us. We are so excited for your visit! Please come in! I made tea and cookies especially for you”
“Oh… thank you…” Thomas mumbled, slowly walking inside. Aside from everything being either black or grey, the house itself wasn’t so bad. Of course that having a constantly smiling Morality next to him was… a bit creepy… but he didn’t seem to bad.
“Aha! Finally!” he heard as he entered the kitchen. There, stood a very… royal Prince. He was very alike his counterpart as well, clothes black and silver instead of white and red. He had red eyes and a creepy smile (actually, Morality also had red eyes, now that Thomas payed attention), but he wasn’t half as bad as Thomas had expected after seeing Morality. “Thomas, you have arrived! I have been killing to meet you”
“I… well thank you..?” Thomas asked, slowly sitting down on one of the chairs and looking around the kitchen. “So you are… my dark sides?”
“You can say so” Morality chuckled, slowly placing the tea over the table and heading back for the cookies. Thomas raised his eyebrow.
“Where are Anxiety and Logic?”
“If you are quiet, you can hear Anxiety crying around us. He is a ghost” Prince explained, smirking. Thomas’ eyes widened and he became quiet, suddenly listening to soft sobbing sounds.
“Why… why is he crying?” he asked, worriedly, and Prince shrugged.
“He is always crying. That’s the only thing he is good at” the royal chuckled, rolling his eyes. Then, he looked at Morality. “Should I go bring Logic here?”
“Well of course! Our host needs to know all of us!” he said, grinning wider, and Prince nodded, walking away. Thomas frowned.
“Why can’t he come by his own?”
“Oh, because he is an AI” Morality shrugged. “He was dismantled by his creators but… well… They weren’t fully successful. He can’t walk however, so Prince will bring him over”
Thomas swallowed thickly, looking at the hallway when he heard steps. He jumped from the chair when he saw Prince moving closer, holding bunch of wires and metal parts being held together with a broken head on top, nothing alike any of the other Logics he had already met. His skull was completely made of metal, and he had no skin or hair, his eyes bright red lights.
“O-oh my…” he gasped out, moving away slightly as Prince put the wires and metal down on a chair, a few pieces falling on the ground.
“There you go. That’s Logic” he smiled, sitting back on his place. “Where is Anxiety? How rude…”
“Ann! Time to come up!” Morality called, placing the warm cookies on the table. Thomas looked around, listening to louder crying sounds, but no one was showing around them.
“He d-does n-n-n-no-not wa-want to appe-ppe-ppear to T-Tho-Thomas” the host heard, and with a startle he jumped from the chair again, looking to Logic, eyes wide.
“Y-you can t-talk?” he muttered, shakily. Logic slowly turned his robotic head to Thomas.
“Y-y-ye-ye-yes” he said, all broken and weird in a very electronic voice. Thomas swallowed thickly and Prince looked around.
“Anxiety, appear. Now” the royal said deeply, and the crying suddenly stopped. “Now Anxiety. Before I make you come out”
“No no no no no no no” Logic repeated, slowly, and Thomas frowned, confused and scared, his heart ten miles per hour. Prince furrowed his eyebrows.
“It is no use Anxiety. Appear. Now.”
Thomas gasped when he saw a transparent being suddenly appearing next to Logic. He was exactly like Anxiety, just… as a ghost. He wasn’t half as bad as the others, he just seemed… scared.
“Hello Anxiety” Thomas said, shyly waving to him, and the ghost whimpered silently, more tears coming out of his eyes.
“No no no no” Logic said again, and Morality stared at him with dead eyes, the smile always present.
“Stop saying what Anxiety is thinking, Logic, before we put you inside that closet again” he said, voice deadly, and the robot stopped, not seeming a little fazed by it. Then, Morality turned back to Thomas with lively eyes. “Eat some cookies. Please”
“I-I…” Thomas mumbled, looking around at them. “C-can I… Actually can I… Bring some of the others here? I am… They would love to meet you…” he said, shakily, knowing he wouldn’t be able to stay much longer without some help. Morality gasped and he winced.
“Of course! I would love to meet our four counterparts!” he said happily, and Prince nodded, a smirk on his face.
“Yes. We all would. If you would be so kind to bring them down here, we would be glad”
“I-I will… be right back then” Thomas said, smiling and slowly getting up. Morality nodded, and quickly he made his way to the front door, running away from the house and back to the stairs as soon as he stepped outside. After a quick climb, he was back to the clearing in the forest, taking deep breaths and looking around. Thank god.
Slowly, he stood up and walked to the main house, knocking and biting his lip once Morality opened the door.
“Thomas! Hello” he said, happily, and Thomas smiled weakly.
“Hey Mo… Can you call the others out here? I kinda of need… help. From you four.”
Morality frowned and slowly nodded, turning around to return inside the house.
Soon, all of them were outside.
-----
“So… Dark… versions of us?” Prince asked again, looking down at the dark abyss under them. “Well okay. Doesn’t sound too bad…”
“Oh but it is. I don’t trust any of them honestly” Thomas mumbled, shaking his head. “Just stick together and stay close to me. Please.”
“Alright” Morality nodded, smiling, and slowly the five of them started to climb down the stairs to the hidden dead forest under Thomas’ mind space.
“This place is… terrible” Anxiety mumbled once they were all on the ground, looking around the dead trees and following Thomas as he started to walk to a house. “Why don’t we go back up and… forget this?”
“Don’t worry! They are us! They will be cool!” Morality said, smiling, and Thomas sighed shakily.
“I hope so” the host mumbled as he walked to the door. Once again, before he could knock, the door opened, and the dark Morality was standing there, holding a tray of cookies, grinning from ear to ear.
“O-oh my!” Morality gasped, while his dark counterpart offered the cookies.
“Hello Morality. It is a pleasure to meet you. Please take one before you go inside” he said, happily, and Morality slowly reached for the tray, grabbing one and smiling before walking in. Prince followed, taking his own, and then Anxiety and Logic last, all before Thomas himself took one and walked inside. They headed to the kitchen, that was once again empty only with Dark Prince by the sink.
“Finally!” He said, smirking widely and bowing to the five. “I am so glad we finally had the time to know you all. You must know me, I am Prince. Please make yourselves at home”
Slowly, the four traits sat down, nodding and taking a small bite of their cookies. Thomas was the last one to sit down, the table suddenly bigger than before. Well, it was his head, he guessed.
“What would you like to know first? Would you want to look around the house or walk through the woods?” Morality asked, serving them some tea. The four traits looked at each other and shrugged.
“Um… Maybe the house?” Morality asked, smiling weakly, finishing his cookie. Dark Prince gasped.
“Maybe they could come see the dungeons?!” he asked, excitedly, and Dark Morality looked at him with a deadly stare.
“You are not showing our guests your dungeons, Prince” he said, coldly, but the royal just frowned.
“Why not? You are allowed to poison them with your cookies but I can’t show them the torture chambers?” he asked, frustrated, while the five others widened their eyes, all of them but Morality, who had already finished his own cookie, releasing what was left of the sweet.
Dark Morality’s eyes were on fire.
“I did not poison anyone. Do you really think I would poison our guests?” he asked, deeply, and the four main traits looked at each other, scared. Thomas was frozen. Dark prince shrugged.
“You always do”
“Not them. They are special” he smiled, widely, and looked back at the four. Anxiety was the first to stand up, followed by all the others.
“You know what? I don’t want to stay here anymore. Thank you” he said, and the others nodded quickly, but as they turned around, Thomas gasped, almost falling back again.
In front of them stood Dark Logic, slightly fixed, with wires and metal coming out of the little skin he had around his metallic body, one eye covered by fake skin and the other still robotic.
“Oh no! Don’t go! We fixed Logic for you to see him” Dark Morality said happily, and the robot that was way bigger than any of them stepped forward, making the four traits and Thomas move back. “He is a little tall but he is very nice as long as you don’t… you know…” he giggled.
“oh… My… god…” Anxiety muttered, being the one right in front of the big robot. “Oh… No… I want… to go away…” he stuttered, whimpering and rushing behind the others when the robot moved forward again. “Oh my god!”
“H-Hey!” Morality tried, waving to the robot, and Dark Logic tilted his head slowly, before raising his hand and waiting. “Oh okay…” Morality mumbled, moving his hand up and slowly holding the robot’s. “Hello…”
“Don’t go yet” Dark Morality begged, and they looked back at him. “Please. I made tea”
“Poisoned tea” Dark Prince mumbled, and Dark Morality chuckled.
“nah. The poison was in the cookies” he said, smiling, and the four main traits looked back, seeing black spots on their eyes. “Sleep tight darlings”
“N-no…” Thomas mumbled, also feeling his eyes closing, and suddenly everything was black.
They could only hear a deep laugh before everything was silent.
