If you want to really push yourself to be better, you can do some studies of the subject you are most interested in. It doesn't need to be a full painting each time you do it. It can be just petals or leaves or studies of how your subject behaves in it's natural environment. . If you are feeling stuck and lost with all the things you are seeing in social media then don't look at them. Find your inner joy, work in your own phasing, invest in your journey. Always remember that it's not always about the end result, what's important is your learning and discoveries about yourself that might surprise you. . In here I did 2 studies of roses, the left one I carefully did the rendering taking notes of the shadows and really looking at my photo reference while doing it. The other one, right side, I did in loosely in a sense that I did my impression of what i am seeing so some alterations were made. . 🔴WORKSHOPS ALERT🔴 📍Dreamy Landscapes in Watercolors • April 6, 2019 | Saturday | 1-5 PM | ArtBar, ATC . 📍Still Life in Watercolors • April 14, 2019 | Sunday | 1-6 PM | ArtBar, ATC . 📍Finding Blooms in Watercolors (Salt Painting) • April 28, 2019 | Sunday | 1-5 PM | ArtBar, Serendra .
