As it was a very sunny day I decided to give the Solar Brother fire card from @alphabushcraft  a very quick test .

I gathered up some handy tinder’s both natural and man made and set about focusing the Fresnel lens (not so easy one handed whilst trying to shoot the pics ) . Tinder’s included a dead leaf , dry grass , some curled bark , jute cord and the red inner cord tinder from 550 fire-cord para-cord .

The fire-cord , jute cord and the dry grass definitely worked the best , the dried leaf next and lastly the bark  .

 For its proper test I will create a dedicated tinder bundle and a prepare a small fire for you all soon .

 French design solar lighter by Solar Brother , a handy sized solar reflector capable of lighting natural and man made tinder’s using the power of the sun and available in UK via @alphabushcraft. If its a cloudy day simply add a mini Bic lighter to the specially designed center piece .
