Prototype Fire bead ?
So Ive been playing around with the idea of a firebead .
These are made up from 3 layers of Hammaro tinder paper which is a Swedish made biodegradable and environmentally friendly Stearin and pulp product and 2 contrasting layers of waxed cardboard from recycled toilet paper rolls.
The results are a 14mm bead that is long burning (approx 4 mins in this test ) and elements proof that can be added to any lanyard / zip pull but yes it is a’ fire and forget’ product .

Luckily before the twin storms hit I managed to make up a little indoor log store from 2 recycled wooden plant crates screwed together to fit by our old Rayburn no1 stove .
The 3 recycled cigar boxes on the top hold match's , home made firelighters and various natural tinders and used wax from candles ready to make more firelighters .
