This one has been stewing in my brain for a while: ORV xxxholic au. Disclaimer this is very loosely based around the story so not everything is 1 for 1! And a lot of cultural myths will have to be adapted to the Korean ones. This is mostly focused on the kids!

For a long time I couldn't decide whether I should put HSY or KDJ as Yuuko... So let's just say they both can play her role, in different universes/worldlines, much like in ORV with 1863 HSY... Yjh, in this one... Was a mortal. This is the least we can do for him. The luxury of an ending.

Somewhere, in the distant, far reaching corners of the universe... Lived a time dimensional witch, who was cursed by their beloved to remain stuck in a world not of their own. A pocket dimension where everything had been different, yet the same, for time does not move for them.

In both worlds, the witch comes across a high school girl, by the name of shin yoosung. A young psychic who is tormented by visions of an alternate version of herself. She is a good child, friendly with a kind heart, but because of her eccentricities, she is left alone. She'd only want one thing — to be rid of her useless gift. By coincidence, her two feet led her to an old house, where she eventually meets the witch and due to her wish, becomes contractually binded to them as a part timer.

By working for them, she soon encounters familiar figures, transient dreams and reemerging memories she hadn't known she had, and through this, she was able to gain the company of two peers— Yoo Mia, an unlucky girl of mysterious origins and Lee Gilyoung, the last shaman apprentice in town.

The story will mainly deal with their various encounters with the supernatural and how all their fates become increasingly entangled with one another, and how eventually, they will learn the truth of this world....

so this is a fic where I had like, a really solid idea of the premise, start, and end, but everything else took a lot longer to pull together

some random notes on premise/vibe/ending

Premise: I've seen some Sanji-with-prosthetics fanart before, and it kind of fascinated me how much he'd probably hate it-- he's got such a complex about hands, and human machines/upgrades, that he'd not deal with it well.

Overall: this was my header/overview notes for the vibe of the fic: Franky is able to heal and rebuild himself as a person even after facing his own mistakes, but Sanji with his strict internal code of conduct is fundamentally incapable of extending that type of forgiveness to himself. ...which, I don't think I ever included that particular wording anywhere? whoops, great line though LOL

Ending: The ending was always going to be a direct parallel to the WCI lighter in the rain scene-- it's suuuch a good scene in the manga of sanji losing all hope lol, having that instead be a moment of acceptance worked well

that being said, everything in the middle took a lot longer to figure out, until I went for a like... slow crab boil of increasing tension that had a terrible breaking point.
