NEWTON/HERMANN: MOMENTS in Pacific Rim
BICKERING (because they're already married, right?)
Newton introduces Hermann to "human beings"
Hermann annoyed that Newton calls him Hermann in front of said "human beings"
Newton proceeds to mock Hermann's accent
"Please excuse him he's a Kaiju grrrrrrroupie."
Interesting to note Hermann says Newton "loves" something.
Newt tells him to shut up (again addressing him by his first name).
*Hermann shakes head in disapproval*
a short while later...*Newt throws Kaiju entrails on the floor*
The fact they have lab rules makes me smile.
Hermann says the numbers = handwriting-of-God line and Newt's reaction is priceless.
Newton mimes "blah blah blah blah" in the background because he is actually 12.
"Newton, don't embarrass yourself." (Like he cares?)
Staker tells Newt to get to the point and Hermann says "yes" and it just seems to be sexually charged somehow but I think that's just me.
"And this is the point where he goes...completely crazy."
Newton freaks everybody out while acting like a little kid who asks his mother for another box of sugary cereal and then flips out a little while Hermann watches.
Herman says Newton is "desperate to be right" as if he isn't himself.
Funny that he even cares if Newton kills himself trying to drift with a Kaiju....because we know he does.
"Newton...Newton! What have you done?!" *real concern in his voice*
"Newton created a neural bridge from garbage and drifted with the Kaiju." *worried and scared as hell but totally in awe of Newt's genius*
"I don't exactly know what...to do" *really fucking concerned*
*Hermann shakes head in disbelief*
BICKERING AGAIN. *Staker yellls at Hermann to shut up*
"yes..." *whisper* "sorry"
After Newt calms down they get all sciencey together in front of Hermann's screen thingy.
Hermann flies to Newton's side...sort of...
WRONG AND RIGHT...please shut up.
"THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO MAKE SURE. AND THAT IS TO DO THIS...TOGETHER."
Newton's face!!!!!!!!! *heart flutters*
"That's what the Jaeger pilots do; share the neural load."
"You're serious. Y-you would do that for me – or – you would do that with me?"
"Well, with would wide destruction a certain alternative...do I really have a choice?"
"Then say it with me my man, we're gonna own this bad boy."
"By Jove, we're going to own this thing for sure."
"You ready for this?" Hermann's like *um no*
Newt asks "are you ok." "Yes of course." *THAT'S ANOTHER NO."
Herman reaches frantically for Newton (and a hankie) after he throws up.
PLAN WILL NOT WORK MUST WARN ALL AND SUNDRY
"They're in." *dramatic full-body sigh of relief almost in unison*
Newton says "it worked" and they exchange glances. (cuz they were both right)
Newton watches Hermann panting after they save the world like he's kind of concerned and fascinated at the same time.
THEY HUG BEFORE THE SIDE HUG But Ops Tendo Choi and the digital display are blocking the view!!!!!!!!! Looks like Newt goes for him first and Hermann actually pats him on the back in the sweetest way.)
SIDE HUG and the most adorable smiles ever like are they buddies or what...ugh.
I'm emotionally shot....haha.
