Ah, the glamour of the casino. The Royal Flush Casino, even. Living so close to it, Gerald decided it was worth a visit. ‘Win big or have your dreams flushed away’... An interesting premise. Gambling had never really been of interest to the royal, as never having to worry about money to ‘lose’ made it all seem a bit unexciting. Even now he had no intention of risking his now finite funds, this trip more or less a case of curiosity killed the cat... And the cat in question was left a tad irritated at being stopped at the door. Gerald looked upwards to meet the eyes of the woman who dared to stop him.
“Yes, I am over eighteen. Over twenty-one, in fact. Stand aside.”

indeed! unfortunate that his nightmares are so persistent - he’s tried everything under the sun to lessen them without much success, and certain events have only worsened them. maybe someday he’ll find someone to confide in about them at least...
The flames of Ace’s bonfire cracked on the marble floor of the local shopping mall. Mall-goers walked around him in a wide arc to avoid him and the makeshift camp he set up, complete with a tent. Ace hummed to himself as he maintained his sword, making sure to clean and oil his sword before he eventually turned in for the night.
A flash of yellow caught Ace’s eye across the campfire. Was that person staring? He couldn’t see clearly due to the distortion of the light from the heat of the flames. Either way, he decided to wave.
“Hey, you don’t have to just stand there--if you wanted to sit down and join me, I don’t mind at all.”
Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no. Mikoto could barely believe what he was seeing. When he first saw her, his head jerked up in shock, and his entire body froze. His legs felt weak at the small glimpse he had, and he struggled to put his thoughts together to form coherent phrases. He couldn’t remember the last time he felt his heart race this fast before.
That brilliant yellow was indistinguishable. She struggled to fly around, but was caught in the hair of a young lady in front of Mikoto. She was in no way dangerous, but the sole thought of someone getting stung caused his entire body to freeze up. Somehow, he managed to get his words out though.
Mio sat at the bar of The Ace of Clubs her head rested on her arm as she looked at the just below half filled drink with it’s slowly melting ice, the cold water touching her fingertips once again. As Mio sat there she mumbled a few words before getting up, she never had a taste for the hard drinks, but after today she just need a few of them to get the edge off. Tough work added with her motorcycle breaking down miles from her home the bad things just kept stacking on each other her vision and mind must have been playing tricks on her by this point in the night. She thought she saw a familiar figure, someone she knew she could turn to, to share her feeling and the drinks were only making things well up now. “...Think i drank too much...again...Looks like fun, but it’s...pretend...Why do i try to fit in? When i just want to go home...And i know this isn’t like me, i just want people to like me.” Mio lifted the glass into the air almost sure she looked odd talking to herself if she was at all, “Got my glass up in the air and i act like i don’t care, and i take some but i shouldn’t, and i say things that i wouldn’t and i’m just part of the crowd...but i feel better now...” Mio gave a bit of a pause to set her drink down again, “I should go, it’s getting late...but imma keep on dancing till i feel okay...” Mio gave another pause “Fooled myself almost...forgot...that i just want to go home...:I just want to feel normal for the night...”
❝ Like, what can I say? Junk food and me have a very special relationship. ❞
“I-I agree, junk food is really good, but... I don’t think it’s healthy to eat it all the time.” Madoka’s a little concerned for the other. Just a little.
Today Mio had been off for the night and convinced her friend, Yang, to request the day off and the two had been hanging out for most of the day, the two had visited several stores and picked up a part for Mio’s motorcycle that she need. Though as the night began to crawl it seemed time to go home and say goodbye, and Mio was getting ready to do just that when a specific place had tanged a memory in her mind which made a smile grow on her lips. Mio hadn’t been there very much since the first time she had explored, the royal flush casino which actually wasn’t too far from Yang place of resients. And taking in the mood of not wanting to part just yet Mio offered to take Yang there, and happy Yang accepted her invite it certainly was a rare occasion to go out at night for Mio, though she did go out of her way to make sure she had the next day off. So Mio and Yang set out for the Casino after a bit of discussion of dressing fancy, though in the end deciding against the flashy outfits they went in normal clothing, it was good enough.
As the two moved into the building Mio was happy to offer to get them both started on their night, she handed Yang a few bills, honestly Mio had been saving up for a trip here for a while so it wasn’t anything big to her. Moving to a table the two started to try their luck at the cards, though of course it had to be one of Mio’s unlucky days, she was quickly put out of the game due to her considerable bets which she lost each time. Though Yang seemed to be doing plenty well losing and winning a fair number of times, it was a sight to behold, perhaps it wasn’t the girls first time at the card game? Well either way Mio had to step up from her seat and was reserved to watching her friend from behind as game after game she seemed to be getting a bit more aggressive. Mio had actually started to get into it, beginner's luck or not Yang was good and with no obvious tell it was actually really hard to figure out if she was going to win. Though with not all night to spare Mio would have to warn Yang to try and wrap up if possible, in which Mio didn’t expect Yang to bet most, if not all, of the chips she had, a shock indeed.
Mio watched in surprise as she watched her friend bet, and actually win such a large bet, in which Mio gave a cheer to Yang an then suggested leaving before greed got to them anymore. And so with that the two gathered their winning which in the end actually wasn’t that much money, but it certainly was more than they came in with, though Mio insisted that Yang keep it all. As Yang and Mio headed back Mio was determined to walk Yang back home even though Mio herself was the one who probably needed protecting more in all honesty. Though on their wy Mio discreetly bought a small gift and the moment Mio and Yang arrived at Yang’s home Mio handed the rose to Yang, who responded with smile and asked Mio to move closer. Mio was surprised when she felt the hand on her face Yang had placed her hands on Mio’s cheeks to hold her head still and then Mio felt the warm lips against hers. Mio’s eyes went wide for only a moment before she returned the kiss with a small blush on her face, standing there more stunned than confused she gently waved her hand as Yang said bye and went back up to her room. Mio stood there for about two minutes before shaking her head then took a deep breath heading back to her home with a large smile on her face.
