Yay, version 3.1.0 of Solitaire FRVR solved the playability issues I introduced in version 3.0.0. Here is to hoping the average session time trend will continue above the previous baseline!
A million games played!
Solitaire FRVR just snuck past a million games played. This feat was achieved by 219403 unique users. Even more exciting; more than 600000 of those plays were played inside the past 15 days. I like where this is going!

Finally ready for App Stores
I finally believe I have a game that is good enough to be released on mobile. As always it took somewhat longer than expected as more issues appeared during the development and I took the time to do various improvements to the game:
Easier to read text on cards I made the text on the playing cards larger, making them easier to read.
Reduced amount of files I combined a large set of the images into sprite sheets, saving a total of 16 requests when the game loads.
CloudFlare I put the game behind the CloudFlare CDN to make the game faster to load for all users - More on that in an upcoming post.
Versioning in build system The build system now generates versioned asset folders for each build. Allowing me to add very long cache timeouts for static assets.
Windows Mobile Support The game now plays well, using high DPI graphics on Windows Mobile
Bugs Fixed about 15 minor bugs related to everything from menu scroll and Safari rendering bugs on Retina macs.
Over the next few days I will be writing the first app App Store integrations, focusing on Android and iOS initially. However I hope I can make an automated process that allows me to publish to additional stores such as Windows Phone, Chrome App Store, Windows Store, etc.

Draw one and saved games
We are happy to announce that we have released a much improved version of Solitaire FRVR.
Play new and improved Solitaire FRVR
Draw 1 and Draw 3 game modes
As many have requested, the game now supports both draw one and draw three game modes. Simply enable or disable draw three in the left menu.
Stored Games
Solitaire FRVR will now save your game progress between sessions. You therefore no longer need to worry about completing your game as you can return at any time.
Other improvements
Fixed bug where the window could sometimes be scrolled.
Made menu scrolling experience on computers better.
Misc performance improvements.
Fixed a bug that would throw an error if the pile was clicked while both pile and preview where empty.
