God, you felt awful

Your nose had been continuously running for hours now, and the chills and shakes your body were having were less than pleasant.

You felt so weak, so helpless. Like you wanted to curl up against someone and try to forget about how terrible you felt. 

Someone like your matesprit

Sure, he could be grumpy and cranky, but you wanted him right now more than anyone else. You doubted he’d even understand your human cold, but you hoped he would get the severity of it. 

When you call him up, he clocked the whineyness of your voice instantly. 

‘Woah, thomeoneth needy.’

He also notices how.. Nasally your voice sounded. For a second, he thought you were making fun of him. 

After a quick explanation of why you sounded like this and what you had, you were pretty much begging him to come over and take care of you. You just missed him so much, you needed him by your side right now.

In all honesty, Sollux was already planning on stopping by your hi- house, he wanted to hang out anyways, so not a lot of convincing had to be done to get him to stop by. 

He did do a quick google search on his phone to see what kind of stuff helped human colds.

By the time he’s at your house he’s got a grocery bag full of random miscellaneous items that may or may not help your weird human virus

You giggle at his sweetness, but this ends up sending you into a coughing fit 

Sollux is right at your side and.. Wow.

He is kinda scared at how bad you look right now

Were humans supposed to look this bad when they were sick? Is this normal???

Your eyes were all sunken in, your body wouldn’t stop shaking, he’s actually worried now.

‘Dude are you thore you’re okay??? Do we need to get you to a hothpital??’

You reassure him that you’re fine, you just need some hugs and kisses to feel better.

He scoffed at you and repeated the stuff he read online about drinking water, resting, and proper meals, but by the time he’s finished his sentence he’s already wrapped his arms around you and shoved your head into his chest.

Honestly the rest of the day basically involves you guys watching a lot of TV and Sollux mother henning you the whole time.

He’s never really dealt with this before so he doesn’t know how serious he should be taking it. To be on the safe side, he’s taking it very seriously. 

He was about to call up Karkat to cook for the two of you while you cuddled but you reassured him that that was not needed, you’d be fine to leave him be while he heated up the soup he bought you.

..Sollux starts to regret not texting Karkat,

‘Solluxxxxx, are you almost done?? I need you, please come back :(((((‘

‘It’th been five minuteth, babe, hold your goddamn hoovebeathtth.’

When you end up leaving the couch to come hug him from behind, he decides to give up on trying to keep you down and just let you hang off him while he cooks for you.

Now. He understands you are strong enough to do things like feed yourself.

You’ve proven that by your constant following of him as if you were a dog

But. ahem. 

It’s not every day he has an excuse to lovingly and carefully feed you spoonfuls of soup. He takes the chances when he can okay

Once you’re tuckered out and finally asleep, Sollux takes a minute to look at your face. 

Still more sickly than he likes, but he brushes some of the hair away from you and tries to ignore it. 

You told him not to worry about your germs. You doubted that trolls could even get the same viruses that humans could get, and Sollux seconded this. With that in mind, he leans down and presses a gentle peck to your lips.

No other way to put it.

You must’ve been the last person alive who could stand being around the both of them at once these days.

Sometimes you performed your duties begrudgingly.

They definitely still pissed you off, too.

Especially today.

It was always a treat to get to see your two favorite boys.

Most of the time they were on their best behavior for you.

You didn’t exactly know why.

You’d suspected they had ulterior motives one way or the other, but flipping quadrants with either of them would mean abandoning your carefully constructed ashen romance.

You definitely were not going to let that happen.

You didn’t want them to kill each other. You liked them perfectly fine alive and well, thank you very much!

In retrospect, it was probably a mistake to pick video games as an activity.

Eridan was getting tired of losing and Sollux never got tired of gloating.

A little squabble quickly turns into a screaming match, and before you know, it, they’re trying to claw at each other over your lap.

Whatever they’re trying to do, they don’t exactly realize that you’re taking the brunt of the scratches and blows.

You’re just focused on minimizing the damage, practically holding them by the scruffs of their necks like feral cats.

Your vision goes a little blurry when you get knocked on the nose a little too hard in the frenzy.

Once you’re able to focus on your surroundings again, they’ve stopped fighting and they’re both staring at you looking like a pair of lususes discovering they’ve chosen the weakest grub of the brood.

You wave them off in a dismissive manner.

You’re tough, you can handle a punch or two. And you don’t need them to take care of you. That’s not how this is supposed to work.

Sollux and Eridan both seem transfixed on you still.

Though, when you catch Sollux’s eye, there’s something different in his expression.

You barely have time to hit him with your own inquisitive expression before his lips are crashing onto yours.

He didn’t waste any time getting his hands all over you and he’s yanking your hair like you’re Eridan.

The kiss is aggressive and hot. His tongue is jabbing you in the throat and his fangs are piercing your lips. You both look like you’ve been eating candy the same color as your blood when he pulls away.

He’s practically shoving you towards Eridan before you can take a full breath.

You get the same treatment from the violet-blood.

He’s groping you and chewing on your tongue like you’re the one he’s waxing black for.

You feel a little bit like a toy as they continue to pass you back and forth between each other to hate-snog in short bursts.

If they needed to take their feelings for each other out on you, then so be it.

So long as they weren’t at each other’s throats, you could consider yourself a proud auspice.

SOLLUX <3 READER GENERAL HEADCANONS

I don't think he would be particularly clingy, or real big on touching in general honestly

except for maybe if he gets jealous, then he might hold you close and scowl at whoever is causing his jealousy

that and when he's overwhelmed, but he has a hard time actually asking for affection from you so you will most likely just have to figure it out yourself

actually fucking never calls you your actual name. always a nickname. either some shortened nickname like he does with everybody else(AA, FF, KK) or some other petname

petname is being generous because he will likely call you some curse or slur.. affectionately ofc. and he does use like "babe" and stuff still too

If he calls you something that makes you uncomfortable, you WILL have to tell him. he absolutely will not figure it out on his own. In fact, he will probably use it more if he sees that it gets a reaction from you

he is really big on acts of service and gift giving. he will fix your computer, write viruses for you, help you pirate games, help you with a code you can't seem to figure out

he might complain if you need computer help, but he refuses to let you do it yourself or have anybody else help you

I was wondering if you could do headcannons for a Sollux x goldblood!reader? I think it’d be really interesting if his darling also had psionics. (I really love how you guys write him, so take as much time as you need)

Yandere Sollux with a Goldblood S/O

-I think his response to it would vary depending on how strong your psionics are. If you're significantly weaker than him, he won't pay it much mind. He'd be able to either take the hits or to use his own psionics to protect himself, though he will bitch at you about you annoying him and pissing him off every time you try to fight him.

-It would also depend on your general temperament. If you're peaceful (or at least peaceful enough that he doesn't think you'd use your psionics to kill him and escape), he might be willing to let you keep full control of your powers, even if you're strong enough that you could hurt him.

-It would be a bit of an exercise in trust. If he doesn't do anything to take away your psionics and you still don't use them against him, that would win you more freedom since Sollux would be able to trust you not to run at the first opportunity. If he let you keep them and you used your psionics against him and actually managed to escape, he would be livid, and he would probably take it out on you once he drags you back to his hivestem.

-That day would be absolutely miserable for you. Even if you have psionics, he would usually try to avoid using his on you because he doesn't want to hurt you. If he gave you the olive branch of letting you keep control of your powers and you used it to escape though, that would upset him enough that he wouldn't bother to restrain himself or to be nice with you. You would end up with some awful burns, burns that he is entirely willing to take care of for you once you learn your lesson.

-After that though, if he has the means, he would suppress your psionics. Otherwise, he would probably keep you drugged as much as possible to prevent outbursts during times when he can't handle them. He wouldn't be able to trust that getting your ass absolutely kicked once would be enough to make you stop fighting, and he really doesn't want to have to hurt you again.

But c’mon let’s be honest it’s something he does find very cute about you.

He likes that you’re such a contrast to him

And all the affection is nice when maybe he gets super Mega depressed or he’s just feeling more self-loathing than normal and is in dire need of affection and cuddles

He likes laying with his head on your lap while you play with his hair and he yaps at you for a while

Sollux isn’t usually the biggest physical affection person, but I do think he does love a good cuddle sometimes, it makes him feel wanted!

Also im just imagining sollux Doing something at his computer and you behind him with your arms over his shoulders or something trying to coax him into cuddling a while longer

Sometimes when it’s too loud in his head, you giving him some cuddles and stuff will either help a lot to ground him and give him something else to focus on, or overwhelm him a bit but it’s easy to tell which don’t worry

Because again sollux isn’t the HUGEST physical touch guy, but I think he’s good at telling you when he needs a little space

And that’s not to say he doesn’t appreciate it, you make him feel so loved, just a little too much from time to time lmao

Also, lots of cuddles while he’s busy playing on like, a troll version of a DS or Nintendo switch. Or some game on his phone

Falling for a childhood friend, if that wasn't done over million times in the romcoms he watched.

He felt dumb for letting this trope catch him. I mean of course, having a relationship with someone last so long and it being funded on just enjoying each other's company by the start which transformed into mutual trust and respect to the point now that any romantic feelings won't make you feel like you need to be perfect to be accepted since you've seen all kinds of sides over the years you've known each other- sounds pretty nice.

But it's not like he can be with you. He imagines it often thanks to his cursed thinkpan working on it's own like that for no reason. But actually living these "dreams"..? He can't really help but think it's not a good idea.

It's just that it feels weird. You've been through a lot, and it just feels unreal that your relationship could possibly be something "more" only different.

Although there is desire for change... He likes how things are now.

Sollux

With Sollux you either perfectly know what's on his mind, or the complete opposite.

He's a jerk, especially to you. Frankly spending your childhood together only gave him more ways to tease you and bring up the most embarrassing stories when you were younger at the worst times.

But in the end he won't deny his obvious soft spot for you. He's not about pretending he doesn't care about you.

What he will deny is the possibility of him having feelings for you... While also joking about it being the case for you.

He wouldn't go into too much detail but the "you wanna kiss me so bad it makes you look stupid" is a line you could hear plenty of times during any small argument really.

He wishes it was the case. But he doesn't plan on confessing or "forcing" his feelings onto you.

But man, if you ever notice his huge crush he'd honestly be impressed how long it took for you to notice. You'd have to get a trophy for that... Still it's unlikely to happen.

Dave

He always had the same opinion about you. You were cool, fun and you just get him. Like woah calm down there because he might fall for you.

... which definitely isn't the case now.

His biggest mistake was mentioning it to Rose once, he didn't even get into detail. Just slipped up a minor one and it ended with him getting free typical Rose psychology analysis.

Her advice was good, but he just didn't want to talk about it. He liked you a lot, but he was more than okay with leaving things as they are.

You're buddies since forever. And it's not like he'd see much change if you'd actually date. Other than him being romantic in the most lame way for irony purpose.

Which normally should be his sign to go for it since there isn't a lot he can lose. But with Rose knowing it all, he definitely won't be able to pretend that he isn't madly in love with you.

She'd keep teasing him about it. Glance at him whenever he's talking to you. But he just wasn't ready to say it. Not yet.
