Well. That was fun.

SoLoud has been successfully hacked to not have any audio sources besides plain Wav and Ogg Vorbis, and more importantly when loading an Ogg Vorbis file it'll automatically find, identify, and apply the LOOP_START tag.

The packed-in simple sample has been altered to test this, going from using the (now removed) TTS to playing Isabelle's news report. Which does not stop after 20 seconds.

Now to implement this into Beckett.

GUYS I NOTICED IT JUST NOW. HERE'S THE EXPLANATION:

on this post, L had capo on the 7th fret (same fret as in cherry (H in that video had other guitar than L did)) and his fingers looked like the same as on the beginning of cherry. PLUS it look, that on L's phone was some page w chords/tabs and text of some song.

like, ik, its just small thing and it could just look so similar as chery but what if...

Heh. I was tricked! What SoLoud calls a "wav" audio source actually supports Ogg Vorbis too! Powered by STB_Vorbis no less.

That makes it an open source replacement for the old copy of FMOD Ex that the Beckett Engine uses right now.

The only missing feature I'd like is to read loop points from tags. STB_Vorbis supports that but SoLoud appears to not.

But I do have source code access, so I can not only remove all these extra sound sources (I have no need for Monotone or SID support) but also add extra features, like reading tags.

Yeah I think I'll sleep well tonight (he says at half past one).
