The first day of Rarepairstuck 2025 will be November 7th, with the prompt First Meeting.

This is one of our more direct prompts, but there are still a variety of ways to use it. You could write/draw a meet-cute, a meet-ugly, a reflection on the past, or a re-meeting after a big change. You could also interpret meeting as date, or a literal meeting that the ship are attending together. The meeting doesn't necessarily have to be between the shipped characters; you could approach this as their first time meeting a pet they're getting together, or a child/grub they are having/adopting.

Penny for your SolRose thoughts?

I love SolRose!!!!!!

Sollux is a really surly dude and he is begrudging to accept any affection, much less portray it, but he’s also someone who will LITERALLY DIE if it means helping his friends stay safe, so while he does behave in a very selfless manner, the way he talks is very crude!

I think Rose would start out thinking he’s really fun to poke at because his buttons are just so EASY and AVAILABLE to be pushed and she’s antagonistic by nature, and the two would settle pretty quickly into playful banter. Mutually antagonistic and insulting, but all in good fun! I could see them having a very easy pitch, or at the very least starting out in pitch, fun and flirty and friendly, and maybe later they’d go softer and vacillate flush.

Pale would be fun too. Rose trying to pick apart Sollux’s brain only to have him zero in on her own personal problems and insecurities with positively lethal accuracy and no desire to sugar coat it. That could also work in pitch, though, where they present each other’s problems with hyper affective bluntness and a “so what’re you gonna do about it, punk?”

I think the quad they’d end up in would all depend on the mood and the scenario tbh, but their dynamic is sooooo fun to play with :D

Okay so I know I say anon hate doesn’t bother me but when you wanna come into my inbox and tell me Rose is a “man hating lesbian” you’ve 1. got to reevaluate what makes a person valuable to you because “hate” should never be on the list unless the hate is directed at, like, nazis or smth 2. severely underestimated me 3. misjudged my reaction, because now there’s just MORE Rose loving boys and being bisexual in this world.

A spooky cheery girl, a spooky snarky girl, and a nerdy snarky boy. They’re like, playing a game of leapfrog with defining traits lmao. 

Also I’ve got like, this mental image of Rose and Sollux looking down their noses at something/someone and Aradia just walks up behind them, slings an arm around each of their shoulders, and gives the object of disdain the most horrifying grin of sheer delight but to an outside observer it sure as hell doesn’t look friendly.

Aradia has the misfortune of her genuine expressions of joy being taken as either creepy or sarcastic and Sollux and Rose are both naturally sarcastic (and in Rose’s case, intentionally eerie) people so they’re like. The power trio that other people are PRETTY sure are actually gods of the apocalypse in disguise.
