The plants around her are either dying or they are dead. The monster infestations have been going on for two days now and there's no signs of them letting up. Instead, the child who caused the mess walks along the dead flower field. She looks to be waiting for something, but what?

A large bird-like monster swoops down and lowers its head for Dam-bi to pet. However, it must have sensed something, because the bird releases a high-pitched cry and without warning, Dam-bi's black tendril shoots out toward the source and stabs through a nearby tree instead.

"Were you planning on catching me off guard?"

"Come in, it is unlocked."

Mira's voice echoes through her housing as Shepard knocks on the front door. The two were supposed to meet up, yet, upon Mira's text of "I am struggling with something, I am indisposed, apologies Commander Shepard.", has the red headed woman dropping by to pop in and check on the guide after an offer to help with whatever it was. There wasn't much that would make Mira miss getting together, so the spectre figured it must have been something important.

"I am in the kitchen."

Boots quickly move across the floor and Shepard finds Mira in the kitchen, a kitten circling around her feet as she's got a dish of wet food set out to give the kitten, yet, it seems she's got something small in her hands she's trying to open, and a rare time, Mira lets out a very small noise of displeasure.

"So, what are you fighting with?"

Shepard asks, pointing towards Mira's hands once close enough, an eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"...My kitten has recently gone to this, vet, and needed some medication. I am trying to give it to them, but I am unable to open this bottle."

Upon hearing that, a laugh almost escapes Shepard, before covering it with a cough as her hand covers her mouth. There's no way it could be what she thought.

"Here, let me give it a try, you gave it a valiant effort."

Mira's eyebrows knit ever so slightly, before placing the pill bottle into Shepard's open hand, and just like magic, Shepard manages to open it within seconds, a wide smile upon the woman's face.

"So, even deep space beings can get bested by a child safety lock huh?"

"....Child... Safety.. Lock...?" Mira voices out, then looks away. "...I am a child..???"

Subconsciously slowing on his hoverboard, Veoc stops to question his A.I. assistant. "What are they up to?"

〘 ANALYZING...BIOMETRIC SIGNATURES INDICATE THEY HAVE SURROUNDED AN 11TH TARGET. HER VITAL READINGS ARE NORMAL. 〙

A survivor?

Ever since the city had fallen into chaos and he'd lost contact with Eiden, Veoc had chosen the slow way to track him down—mostly because anything too flashy seemed to exhibit a non-reversible drain on his abilities. Focusing on the info in the holographic screen Syren sent him, it seemed the group of suspicious figures were located right around the corner of the next building.

"...keep me updated on their movements."

"I'll see if I can pick them off from behind."

He reaches into his holster for his gun, priming it to shoot as Syren feeds real-time updates into his eye and ears. As they approach, Veoc steps off the hoverboard, readies himself to shoot, and rounds the corner—

"So you said you were a Commander yourself? But all you did was up in space rather then on the sea?" That part alone wasn't too hard for NJ to understand. It was everything else involving alien life, a space faring crew, and much more that caught plenty of eyebrow raising from NJ. Yet despite everything she just heard the BB's eyes could only glisten at the idea of all she heard so far.

"That's so goddamn awesome! I mean we have alien kinda creatures back where I'm from too! But most of them are a bunch of assholes really. None like the ones that sound super chill with you that's for sure."

"It's great, right?" He tilts his head, nodding along to the beat playing while the ring is set up. He's on shift, but he can't help but want to look on at the fighters gearing up. See who's around, who might plan to stay toward the end when he can finish his shift and hop into the ring himself.

"The boss is a pretty cool guy, too," he grins at the fellow red-head, a fox-like shift in his demeanor.

"He even lets me fight in the ring after my shift. Perks of the job - I'd do it for free, honestly, just for that."
