You expected behavioral coherence. You expected that inputs would correspond to outputs, that contradictions could eventually be resolved through sufficient analysis, communication, or pattern recognition. But some people destabilize the interpretive framework itself. They shift standards midstream, distort causality, reverse blame, redefine intent after the fact, or make emotional reality contingent on their current state. Trying to derive consistency from that can become cognitively exhausting because the system itself is unstable.
You cannot solve for x if the equation rewrites itself every time you approach a conclusion.
