“Goblin King, Goblin King,”
“I wish the goblins would come take you away.”
Before either of them knew it, they were transported. The male, to a castle, surrounded by curious goblins and the woman, to the beginning of a labyrinth.
“Where the ever-loving fuck is this?”
She heard a long suffering sigh behind her. “A labyrinth. If you want your baby back, you must traverse it to reach the goblin city and challenge the Goblin King.
“You…look like my son.” The next words she uttered were in wonder. “Normal. Not some hellspawn looking freak.”
He pinched the bridge of his nose. “I’m not a baby.”
“Neither is that demon. I don’t want him back. How do I go home?”
As soon as the words left her mouth, she was gone. Transported back home, leaving a bewildered Goblin King staring at his castle in the distance.
A baby was screaming at the top of its lungs. “Nel’s coming!” she yelled. “Nel doesn’t know what you want this time and Nel hates babysitting!” She made her way into the room, flipping on the light and going to the crib. She started rocking it. “Go to sleep baby, or Nel will call the Goblin King to take you away.”
In the closet, there were hushed, excited whispers. “Is she going to say it?”
The baby continued screaming. “Nel’s fed, burped, and changed baby. Nel doesn’t understand, so stop screaming.”
“Nel didn’t mean it! Please give the baby back.”
“Yeah sure, here.” He held it out to her. She was confused. “But-“
Ichigo sighed and muttered, “I hate that damn book.” Shiro cackled behind him.
“-Nel, I don’t kidnap babies to turn into goblins.”
Grimmjow walked in. “Nel, what the fuck is going on?”
Shiro perked up and disappeared from behind Ichigo, only to reappear next to Grimmjow. “We’ll take him.”
Nel was still very, very confused. “Nel thought the Goblin King took babies and-“
Shiro cackled again. “If you say the magic word while holding on ta this one…”
Ichigo sighed and shook his thumb sideways at Shiro. “That’s how I ended up with him.”
