1. Which facet of online discourse makes you the least comfortable?
How much time it makes me want to waste yelling at wrong people on the internet. How susceptible social media and sm platforms are to manipulation and gaming, how many people act and talk as if this isn’t the case, and how little platform providers do about it.
2. How quickly can you figure a tip?
I usually just use rounding shorthands and peg at 20%. If it’s ~$10 then the tip is $2 or $3, if it’s ~$20 then the tip is $4 or $5, etc.
3, Are you proud of your heritage? If so, should you be?
The gens Atheris are a Storied and Honorable people, so yes on that point u_u But I’m also a USian, and the USian heritage is one of genocide, betrayal, human degradation, and basically the worst sorts of moral outrages a person can conceive of, done in the name of profit and national egotism and christian chauvinism. Anybody who can look at our founding documents and say “How Fine”, or at the land of this continent and say “How Beautiful”, or at our society and say “How Free” yet refuses to see and talk about the river of horror that runs through them and the mountain of corpses behind them(or worse, denies that they’re there, or tries to wave them off, or to justify them) is a dishonest and self-serving coward with a seriously off-kilter moral sense.
