Regarding Weiss vs. Mitsuru

Okay. I do not contest this outcome, it's more obvious than a fish to the face at this point that Mitsuru is by far the better fighter. 

 But while the battle itself is a good general fight, it's a bad Weiss fight. 

(there’s no shitting on Mitsuru in this vent post nor shitting on Wiz and Boomstick, just my issues with the fight)

Weiss is barely using her glyphs for movement in this. I caught a few instances like her dash, her blitz, a jump backwards, and even a gravity glyph to fling Mitsuru, but other than that, she's rarely in the air. ??? Why??? Her air platforms are the core of her fighting style! One of her biggest advantages is being able to pretty much effortlessly navigate her environment in 3D! I get that the fights are just to show how the fighters counter each others moves in animation, but you can't treat Weiss's Semblance as a one-off thing, not when it's such a huge part of how she fights! 

 Also saying Weiss lost because she's overreliant on Ice Dust and thus "less proficient" in other kinds of Dust is BULLSHIT. The show supports that she prefers Ice Dust, not that she's less skilled with other types of Dust. Heck, it doesn't even support that she is less proficient in other types of Dust. She uses her gravity glyphs, which require gravity dust and would be her second most used Dust, plenty creatively. Flinging herself away, keeping others in place, using them as shields WHICH HAPPENED IN THIS SAME FIGHT. If we wanna get more in depth, she's skilled enough with Fire Dust, her third most used dust, to light candles in a room in V6. At no point does she ever look like she doesn't know what shes doing with her Dust. WEISS DID NOT LOSE BECAUSE SHE'S "LESS SKILLED" IN OTHER KINDS OF DUST. That post-analysis reason was inaccurate and unnecessary. 

Also why did the Queen Lancer try to personally sting Artemesia. What. You have a butt harpoon that you’ve used in the show, USE IT.

 Last minor thing, she's not really using her Dust as much in this fight. I saw 1 gravity glyph, 1 use of Air Dust, 2 uses of Fire Dust, and the Lightning Dust for her Time Dilation. No Hard Light Dust. Which is probably her BEST defense measure and she can throw a barrier up at a moment's notice. 

But congrats to Mitsuru nevertheless. She won fair and square.
