Submission: Fanfic- Every Thought in Between

Every Thought in Between, by SomeCoolName Rating: Explicit Warnings: jealousy, drug use (medication), rough sex, dirty talk, canon-typical violence, drama & romance, midly dubious consent (at one point in chapter 5) Summary: Set after their mission in Paris: All is good now that they were able to stop Raven from killing Trask; the future is even looking better. Without anywhere else to go, Erik ends up going back to the Xavier Mansion with Charles and Hank. Tension in the house rises as old wounds reopen and the three of them are forced to confront each other’s emotions. Erik doesn’t mind, as he needs a place to stay and as long as he doesn’t say anything that will make Charles punch him in the face, they’re good. But it’s not that easy to live under the same roof as your ex. And it’s definitely not acceptable to Erik, the way Hank is looking at Charles.

Concerning the "ask the writer" thing, could you share with us your answers on: C, O and T :) Thank you!

C: Who is your favorite character of your own?  Who is your favorite character created by somebody else?  Why?Meaning my favorite original character? I’ve got to say that I really liked creating some of the Circus Artists in Remember, I Loved You. But otherwise, I don’t really do original characters? The closest I’ve ever gotten was writing a short fic where Nathaniel was a grown up and since we have nothing on him at all, it was basically an OC? I think? It was in Living Up To The Name. 

My favorite character by someone else, that’s gotta be a tie between Clint and Barney. Clint, but in an MCU!Clint kind of way since I like him best in that setting, with the comic background I’ve created for him by writing him so long. But then, there’s Barney too? And he is such a strong character and such an intricate tool to give the reader a view into how strong and how dark Clint actually is - for example, in Swallow Your Soul, I use Barney to look at Clint through a lense that we haven’t see in the MCU. If that make sense?

Barney gives me the opportunity to write and explore Clint a different way than just doing so from another perspective. I really like him, and I really like the dynamic between him and Clint and the entire Avengers and New Avengers. It’s such a shame that he isn’t in the MCU.

BUT! I also like writing Wanda in Swallow Your Soul, because writing her the way I do by using her powers is fascinating to me? It’s like writing in the dream world in Inception, I think. Or something.

O: What motivates you to write?

Ooooh! That’s a good question. I think your reactions. I don’t show my family, I don’t expect any of this to ever be published or make any money from it, and the only reason I write is because you people react to my words. It’s such an incredible feeling, to be able to get a reaction out of you - a strong one, like when I killed Clint in that ask prompt a couple of days ago (and even did a sequel). 

Your comments, reactions, yelling and crying - and any sort of feedback? Just like why I do my gifsets. I don’t ever believe that Renner or anyone at Marvel will ever see them, but I know that they make people happy and they give thoughts and creative reactions to other people and it amazes me.

Writing, right now, on Swallow Your Soul for example, is motivated by my friends. I started writing because I wanted this story to exist, and then it just became a thing of its own, which brought Ronin back or something, and it’s just? This entire thing that’s come out of that? That’s what motivates me to write.

T: What’s your favorite part of the writing process?  Why?

Probably putting it out there, on Ao3 or on Tumblr if it’s a drabble, and waiting for reactions. I try to use words and images that evoke something in the readers and just seeing people like, comment, or even yelling at me? That’s the best thing. 

(I also love sitting down for an hour or two and just seeing where my words take me, because sometimes it just comes alive on its own and that’s so FASCINATING).
