she needed some rest, any rest. just a chance to close her eyes and sleep for a few hours and maybe not dream. it was always easier to sleep with someone beside her anymore and the nightmares had gotten so much worse. sometimes they were full-on night terrors. she had silently crept into his room. her baby monitor was attached to her belt and set low so she could keep an ear out for shogo. crawling into bed with him without displacing much weight on the mattress was nothing as she snuggled in close and put an arm around him.
