So Ik this is pretty broad for a summary (sorry!) but a while ago I read this Cherik fic set sort of during apocalypse expect that Logan wasn't a part of it and it was just Erik having a change of heart and coming back to the mansion . Except Charles tried to hide the whole drugs/no powers/not being hurt by the bullet and it was angst but cute and Hank was just a great friend. I dunno if you know what I'm looking for, I think there are a few fix it gives along these lines Any help is help 💕

Tension in the house rises as old wounds reopen and the three of them are forced to confront each other’s emotions. Erik doesn’t mind, as he needs a place to stay and as long as he doesn’t say anything that will make Charles punch him in the face, they’re good. But it’s not that easy to live under the same roof as your ex. And it’s definitely not acceptable to Erik, the way Hank is looking at Charles.

Je vous avais déjà parlé de mon coup de cœur pour la très belle fic Au plus près des choses. Voilà une deuxième fic du même auteur.

Il s’agit d’une histoire post-Reichenbach que j’ai trouvée vraiment originale. John, persuadé que Sherlock est encore en vie, décide de le retrouver – quitte à se mettre dans des ennuies pas possibles et à voyager aux quatre coins du monde (métaphoriquement, hein ! En réalité il n’arpente même pas TOUS les continents. Mais un bon pourcentage quand même).

L’histoire est donc centrée sur John, et je confesse que Sherlock m’a un peu manqué par moment… Quitte à continuer dans les points négatifs, certains comportements ou certaines réactions m’ont parues un peu atypique de la part de John. Mais bien sûr, à ce niveau là, la vision des personnages est tout à fait subjective (on est loin de l’OOC* !), et ce n’est aucunement rédhibitoire, heureusement.

L’histoire est un donc un beau voyage pour John. Un voyage physique d’abord, et chacun des lieux visités est très bien documenté et très bien décrit. Vraiment, on s’y croirait. Mais c’est aussi un voyage en lui-même. John prend progressivement conscience, d’une manière très réaliste et très bien amenée, de ses motivations et de ses envies. J’ai adoré découvrir le passé de John, et aussi – surtout – celui de Sherlock, que John déterre petit à petit. En particulier, sa relation avec Mycroft est à la fois intéressante et plausible, bien que tordue et franchement malsaine. Eh oui, le personnage de Mycroft est ici très trouble… J’ai aussi beaucoup aimé Harry, la sœur de John : l’auteur l’a dépeint comme une femme belle et digne, mais progressivement détruite par les petits riens de la vie, ou par l’absence de mots, de gestes de la part de ses proches. Finalement, la famille Watson est peut-être plus normale que la famille Holmes, mais elle est plus flippante !

Je vous recommande donc chaudement cette histoire, écrite en français et que l’auteur elle-même traduit en anglais.

Closer to Things

It's a case like any other. A body in the morgue to see -miles away from London- and nothing more. It's bothering Sherlock, so naturally they don't talk about it.

A little bit of case-fic, a little bit of romance, a little bit of angst. This fic has a lot of elements that blend nicely together to tell an all-around entertaining story. The thing that most caught my attention was this author's sense of humor. It's not really blatant (as in it's not exactly the point of this piece), but I thoroughly enjoyed it and actually found myself laughing over whatever quips or commentary were happening. Of course, humor is subjective, but it very much struck me in this fic, and I feel that it was accessible. The writing style was good, although it suffered from some awkwardness. This author is actually French (how cool is that?), so some of the rigidity of the sentences could stem from that. Despite the language barrier, however, this fic is decently written; I would not have guessed that this author was foreign if he/she hadn't told me. The description in this fic was quite good, and though I appreciated much of the vocabulary, I sometimes felt that it was out-of-place. An author should be careful with words that seem like they may fit somewhere, but actually have a connotation or a slightly nuanced definition that makes it an awkward choice. I thought the characterization was realistic, although some conversations had slightly stilted dialogue. The best aspects of this author's characterization were mostly seen in each characters' actions, rather than their words. Whatever problems there were with this fic, however, I enjoyed the plot, the humor, and the Johnlock. I don't want to give too much away, but I found the entire thing to be a clever build, even if I felt slightly confused at the beginning (whether that was my fault or the author's intention is unclear to me). Overall, I think this was a wonderful fic, especially for a first-time Johnlock writer and a French one at that, and I felt that the overall tone and feel of the fic overcame any awkwardness or any small problems. WARNING for references to drug use (read the warnings on ao3 but be warned for some slight spoilers).
