ok so funny story actually, when I was on my last year of high school, the student council came up with the idea of making a school paper, so they could post stuff that happened on the school, as well as stuff students wrote. turns out a friend of mine (who had a friend that was a part of the council) as well as my literature professor went up to me and told me they were looking for student stories, and so I said I’d been working on smth lately and I could send that so they’d have more material.

the thing is, that “smth” I’d been working on was nothing other than a serennedy shortfic. that I promptly titled serenity (get it?) and sent so they’d put on the paper (anonymously). few days later and lo and behold there it is. the fun part is that I had a bunch of teachers compliment me on my writing (my literature prof told some of my other teachers) so yeah, that was fun.
