Coffee Encounters

Today I went to Starbucks like any person would if they had a happy hour coupon. For three solid minutes, I was frozen with ordering anxiety and struggled to figure out what I wanted. After finally figuring out the mysteries of my head, I said I was ready to order. 

I ordered for me and my brother and we made a little small talk as he was getting change. He looked up at me with an apologetic look before saying, “Uh sorry, I can’t remember your name... you come here a lot so I’m sorry I can’t remember it.”

I stared at him in shock. He remembers me. Someone actually pays attention to my habits! I smiled at him before laughing a little realizing how much I come to Starbucks. He is usually the guy doing my coffee anyway but I was so shocked. So I answered, “Oh, I have a name here?” I say in a joking tone.

He laughed too and I kept the conversation going by asking how his vacation is going.

I’m just shocked he remembered how I was from before and at one point remembered my name! Remember guys, if you are ever feeling lonely, know that the guy at Starbucks remembers your name if no one else does.

Just read a lovely note from an Anon and got the biggest grin on my face, because SOME ONE NOTICED I WAS GONE!!
