What if Papyrus killed in the Dead Timeline, and him wanting to redeem you so bad in Genocide is just the side effect of blurry memories?

I definitely think that some of Papyrus’ incessant optimism and his ideal that anybody can be a good person if they just try comes from his actions in the Dead Timeline. That was part of what we wrote in part 3 of Goner Theory.

I think that Papyrus, despite how different he may or may not have been in the dead timeline, still was optimistic and still saw the best in others. But I totally agree that he seems to have done something back then, something he may not even remember, that he’s desperately trying to make up for.
