I believe the reason why so many people on webtoon comments are still denying this obvious truth is less about homophobia and more out of fear that Yes! There are people out there who'd do horrible things to the person that they love! It's not a lie it's a harsh reality.

Love is heavily viewed as something that is very pure, and nobody could possibly hurt the person they love.

The idea- no, the fact that love can exist with abuse is fucking terrifying
