🍔 Review № 510 ━ 📍 Lazy Dog ★★☆☆☆ • Lazy Dog is a burger restaurant in Sønderborg in the southern parts of Denmark, and we tried their burger when they competed in the Danish national burger championships Danmarks Bedste Burger 2021. It consisted of a beef patty, cheese, bacon, bacon jam, pickles, onions, lettuce, ketchup and mustard, and came served in a brioche bun. In their regular restaurant it costs 145 DKK (22 USD), including an order of french fries. • The burger they served us had a very large bun, and it was clear that this would be a challenge to eat. In contrast, the patty was far too small for the bun, and also far too high for us to be able to take a proper bite. Thankfully, the beef patty was a bit pink on the inside, which was a bit nice. The large bun was shiny and tasted nice, but since it hadn't been toasted on the inside it couldn't handle the beef juices and the sauces. Flavour-wise, the burger mainly tasted of ketchup, seeing as it was one of the main ingredients, which stopped us from appreciating the pretty anonymous bacon jam. The cheese was hard and bland, which messed up both the texture and the flavour. And the lettuce was a bit cold and didn't work well with the other ingredients, but we did like both the bacon and the pickles that managed to shine through a bit. • Lazy Dog didn't get very high scores in the competition or in our review here, and have quite a bit to go if they want to reach the top. Just being lazy won't get them very far. ━ @lazydogdenmark #burger #burgers #burgertime #burgerporn #burgerdudes #burgerlovers #food #foodie #hamburger #hamburgare #sonderborg #sonderborgburgers #🍔 #🍟 #🇩🇰 (at Lazy Dog) https://www.instagram.com/p/CW2dhZ-DSQJ/?utm_medium=tumblr
