Considering his astraphobia, I think a lot about how extra scared Miles would be given how much higher and closer up to lighting he’d be in the tower. I imagine Eggmans version of ‘comforting’ the little guy would just be holding him until he calms down or just listing scientific facts as to why the lighting won’t hurt him. However… knowing him and his manipulative ways, he’d probably also use it as another reason as to why Miles is much safer and well protected in the tower.

Also lil extra note: When Miles first gets the jacket he 100% would trip on it sometimes. If he actually got hurt Eggman would probably play it off at first and be like “oh, you’re fine” but would defo (whether he’d want to or not) end up going dad mode and give the lil guy a plaster and some mints to make him feel better.

This was created by the amazing @katlyntheartist to depict some of Miles’ growth over the years! I just wanna squish him (Especially the first two oh my goodness). There’s some other things that they’ve helped work on for the au that I can’t wait to share in the future and if you haven’t already you should definitely check out their work cause they are absolutely amazing! 💛✨

Pre AU info 4: Sonic The Hedgehog - Broken Hero.

A few additional details:

- Sonic still try’s to visit Knuckles on Angel Island on occasion…when he hasn’t damaged the Tornado that is! Though Knuckles is EXTRA protective over the emerald around him.

- If it wasn’t for Amy and Vanilla running around after him with bandages he’d probably never properly treat his injuries.

- With little to no battle technique he often overly relies on the Chaos Emeralds and his super form.

[ This one was surprisingly hard but really interesting to write about! And makes me realise just how much credit Tails deserves. On so many occasions they REALLY would have struggled without him (big thanks to my friend @myyla-x for putting together a list for me surrounding how cannon events may have gone if he was absent!). I well and truly believe Tails needs Sonic as much as Sonic needs Tails. And if Eggman has Tails, not only is he more powerful in one regard, but Sonic is less powerful…. Gosh, Sonic REALLY needs a hug in this AU! ]

Pre AU ideas: Sensitivity and disapproval.

Had this random silly lil doodle lying around for ages and thought this was the perfect opportunity to use it! This little guy needs hugs asap. I feel like kids who really crave approval from the parental figures in their life take it even harder when they aren’t able to achieve that (and I mayyyy or may not have based this off some of my own struggles when I was younger) but that’s made even harder when said parental figure is EGGMAN of all people!

Pre AU ideas: Butterfly✨

This started out as such a small random idea and ended up with 3 pages worth of rambles about it! So short summery for people who don’t like reading, Miles/Tails try’s to keep a butterfly as a pet, see’s himself in it and sets it free. <\3

This is set before T-Pup is built, both to show the impact of Miles’ isolation and loneliness… and also because if T-Pup was there it probably would have gone something like that one YouTube video where that kid is showing their dog a butterfly and the dog eats it.
