There’s really nothing to add to all of these Paul comments! It’s kinda amazing to me that he’s still so empathetic to people. Do you think that was his dad’s upbringing?
I also hope that, as Granddude, he’s pretty much like dad Paul but with no discipline. Just a fun dude.
omg sorry i missed this ask!! ummm, not sure about his dad (not going to go down the whole dad-was-abusive rabbit hole right now but...yeah). i think it can really be chalked up to his working class upbringing in general. he talked about it in some interview in the early 2000s (can't find it right now) where he said that john had a bit more of a middle class upbringing while him and george had more of a working class upbringing and that really shaped his views of people and the world, etc etc
