       SOFT FRUSTRATION LEAVES RED LIPS -- she doesn’t forget who she’s in the presence of, of course, but it’s a natural response that forces its way to the top. asking for help never quite made it on the list of things she ever wanted to do -- she could very much help herself && seeking help was just weakness in disguise. it’s something she’s working on more with rapunzel’s influence -- but it’s still incredibly hard for her because giving even the slightest show of weakness was something people could use to discredit her vast skills && not take her seriously, losing out on the smallest scraps of respect she’d ever earned.

       ❝ with all due respect, your majesty -- i’ve got this, i don’t need help. && i’m not...i’m not that short. i’m average. ❞

      it’s not something she often showed frustration with -- she was entirely capable of taking down men thrice her size despite her own mass && height -- but being called out on anything always made her grouchy in a way. && so the woman climbs up onto a nearby table -- adamant about doing this herself even if she’s destined to make a fool of herself in front of her queen. star is placed neatly on top, the swordswoman on her toes before footing becomes loose && the tree starts to tip. a quick hand grabs the back of the tree, pulling it back with a harsh jingle of ornaments && a sheepish grin pursing her lips tightly together.
