Love Struck
Pairing: Soo-Ho x forgeiner!Reader
Requested by @kdrama-i-nation : Hi! If you don't mind, I was wondering can I request a Soo Ho imagine from Hwarang? Reader is a foreign noble from a foreign country and Soo ho behave with her just like he behaves with the queen? Like all chivalrous and trying to woo her. They both begin to spend more time together and deeply fall in love with each other? Thanks a lot!
So... I watched Soo-Ho and the queen moments again (I can’t get over my hate for her...) and there weren’t that much interactions. So basically, I made him flirtier (as much as I know flirting as a single person) and shyer. Hope you don’t mind. Also, hope this is good enough :)
You sighed as you parents went on and on about something that you could care less about.
“(y/n)? Are you paying attention?” Your mother asked and you looked at her before shaking your head.
“Sorry, but I am not really interested... I could spend this time so much better with other... stuff.” You mumbled and she rolled her eyes. “Stuff being your weird hobbies, I presume?” She hissed and you replied with an eye-roll and a short: “They’re not stupid.” before turning back to look outside.
“Just behave please, we’re staying at the Hwarang House. It’s full of the king’s future soldiers.” Your mom said and you nodded before looking at your father, who looked just as bored as you.
“Dad?” You asked and he looked at you before smiling.
“Can I learn archery here?” You asked and he laughed softly. “Let’s first focus on making a proper impression.” He said and you pouted before leaning back again, in a very “inappropriate” position. Your mother looked at you with a frown, shaking her head before looking at your father and mumbling something to him.
When you had arrived, you were immediately greeted by around 20 men who were all dressed in the same except for the 2 at the front. You noticed one of them stare at you, his eyes basically heart shaped. You looked straight at him with a raised eyebrow and you saw his face flush as he looked down.
“Welcome.” You were greeted and you bowed to them. After that, he started a whole explanation about the building and who they were exactly, but you zoned as you kept noticing the guy staring at you. When your were led around, you let yourself wonder a little further from the group. You weren’t that interested and were basically zoned out, not noticing your surroundings until you were suddenly pulled back. You looked back, seeing the same guy from earlier. You looked at where you were about to step and noticed the small river that was placed there with the bridge next to it. You looked back at the man and smiled.
“Thank you.” You said and he gave you a smile back, letting go of your wrist. You coughed, awkwardly before stepping over the bridge.
The next day wasn’t so eventful for the first few hours. You were only stared at quiet a while when they noticed you were wearing pants rather than a dress. The fact that your sword was strapped to your waist and the loose hair instead of it being braided or held back. You wanted to leave, but you weren’t allowed and secondly you didn’t know your surroundings.
“Are you lost?” Someone asked and you turned, smiling at the guy. “Just a little. Do you know the town well?” You asked and he nodded, smiling brightly.
“Would you mind showing me around? I don’t really want to stay here whole day...” You mumbled with a shy smile and he nodded again.
“I’m Soo-Ho, by the way.” He said, bowing and you shook your head and hand quickly, pushing him back up.
“Please don’t bow... Just treat me like you would your friends. I don’t feel like being a royal.” You joked and he looked up from his bow before straightening his back.
“Alright, prince-” “(y/n).” You said quickly, cutting him off. He looked at you again before smiling with a short nod.
“Princess (y/n) then.” He said and you rolled your eyes, crossing your arms.
“Are you always like this?” “What? Charming?” He flirted and you let out a genuine laugh. He seemed to flush as you did so, awkwardly laughing. You looked around before grabbing his hand and dragging him.
“C’mon!” You whisper-yelled, dragging him out of the doors before letting go off him when you noticed some passerby's staring. “Is hand holding weird here?” You questioned and he nodded, rubbing the back of his neck. You quickly bowed your head in apology, your face flushing now.
“So... Market?” He asked and you nodded, following him towards the town. When you reached the market, you were in utter awe of all the stands. You walked to each one, looking at the beautiful jewelry, food or other stuff. You then noticed a hairpiece, made from wood and a dragon carved on it. You looked at for a few seconds, smiling and mumbling a small “It’s beautiful”.
“Thanks for showing me around... It’s a beautiful town, much better then being cooped up in the Hwarang house.” You said and he nodded before holding out something wrapped in a white cloth.
“You seemed to like it alot.” He said, pushing it in your hand before stepping a little faster as you stopped. You looked at the thing in your hand before slowly unwrapping it. Once unwrapped, it revealed the comb that you liked so much. You smiled and looked up to where Soo-Ho was walking more like running before running after him. Walking slightly in front of him before looking at him.
“Thank you, Soo-Ho.” You thanked him and he looked at you before smiling shyly. “Don’t worry about it.” He answered and you smiled again before twisting part of your hair up and placing the hairpiece in. You looked back at him before chuckling softly.
“How does it look?” You asked, turning around quickly and he smile, nodding.
“It suits you.” He commented and you smiled, thanking him again. When you entered the Hwarang House, you were greeted by a few other Hwarangs and your father. Your father looked at the hairpiece in your hair, raising an almost suggestive eyebrow at it. You suck your tongue out to him before turning back to the Hwarangs, who asked multiple question on how you found the town. You answered all off the question happily.
Days went by, most of them being spent with Soo-Ho who you had slowly developed a crush on. Most of the time you met, he would compliment or flirt with you an everytime you returned, you were completely flushed. You had a feeling that he completely knew what he did, yet he continued to do so.
Soo-Ho on the other hand, unlike you, had almost given up. He prayed that his hints were clear enough, but you didn’t seem to get them.
“I just don’t know what to do anymore...” Soo-Ho complained loudly and his friends looked at him with bored gazes.
“Just like you always do? You’ve had over half of the city as your girlfriend, is she that different?” Banryu complained back and Soo-ho turned to him with a glare.
“Yes! She is!” He exclaimed before letting himself drop down. Banryu sighed, shaking his head before turning away from Soo-Ho.
“Well, here she is. So just say it.” Banryu growled before leaving the room quickly, growling some stuff under his breath. When you passed him with a small greeting, he just let out a growl and you frowned before continuing to walk towards Soo-Ho.
“Who pissed in his drink?” You questioned and you heard Soo-Ho laugh, smiling before sitting next to him. You looked at him again before frowning.
“Something wrong?” You asked and he looked t you before sighing.
“I love you.” He spoke and your eyes widened as you stared at him for a full minute before nodding slowly. He sighed, looking away from you before apologizing softly. You shook your head before taking his hand in yours.
“Well, it’s a good thing that I like you too.” You spoke before kissing his cheek quickly. On que, his doofy smile appeared as he looked back at you. You smiled before standing up and pulling him up as well.
“Let’s do something now.” You exclaimed, pulling him along with a bright smile. He just followed you like a lost puppy.
