cue apollo & artemis padding into the room, with a red bow looped around both their necks; artemis has a little santa hat on as well, while apollo’s sprouting reindeer antlers (both of them look unamused, but aren’t actively trying to get them off, so that’s a win in his book). cue steve following right behind them, phone in hand, because ‘buck, are you seeing this? look at them!!’ they’re too damn cute.

  bucky is, perhaps, the tiniest bit suspicious that he hasn’t seen steve or beloved critters since waking up. but he’s also cozy and warm enough right where he is in bed to get up and investigate when he doesn’t hear bee making too much noise yet. she was excited for christmas, possibly more than steve was, and bucky had promised she could come get them when she was awake and ready to do presents.

 the odd silence is, however, quickly explained when artemis and apollo pad into the room festively decorated for the day and steve beaming at having gotten them to wear the items. artemis meows as if asking if she really has to wear the santa hat and bow, but makes no effort to remove either as she hops onto the bed to demand snuggles. affection bucky happily gives, head shaking in amusement.

        “ how long have you been up with them? i didn’t hear a peep, ” the brunet muses, adjusting the bow the tiniest bit so it wouldn’t poke poor artemis too uncomfortably. bless her for being such a patient kitty, especially when it came to himself or steve wanting to make her look extra cute. “ bee’s going to lose her mind over the cuteness. better have your camera ready to take some video. ”

"Gilgamesh." With a gentle tone, a gentle smile, Siduri called for the attention of her beloved one. It was a special day from what she had heard and understood from others, and on this special occasion of being able to witness it she also wished to participate. With the help of others, she had been able to make her own confections. Simple looking with slight decorations, they had been carefully wrapped into a box. "Happy Valentine's day, my love."

“Hoh? This is a wonderful surprise, darling.”

He took the offered box gratefully, a smile upon his face. The confections within warmed his heart at the sight and his expression softened even further. They were simple but he could feel the love she had put into making them and he did not doubt for a second that she had made all these herself. Gilgamesh must surely be the luckiest man in creation to have Siduri’s affections heaped upon him in such ways.

He would have to return such love and generosity somehow. The King had not given much thought to the day but with such a wondrous gift his mind was certainly more focused than before. Though there was only one, maybe two, he would consider giving gifts to. 

Gilgamesh would just need to be sure they were proper gifts.
