Like, I love plants but I can’t grow anything except roses, and those grow on their own and I don’t do anything to make that happen. Seriously, I kill succulents, I kill AIR PLANTS. *mutters to himself*

I DID NOT MAKE YOU GAY FOR GODS’ SAKE.
Like, this isn’t even a milkshake. Why are all these boys in my yard??
I am looking at YOU, Ellie Shoes.
Seriously, as a Bitch of Light this actually drives me bananas. WORDS MEAN THINGS!!!
So here’s the thing- I try really hard not to take myself seriously. Literally, it’s important for an Artemisian to maintain perspective and not take things too personally.
Which means, if I’ve done something to offend someone or if I’ve somehow misrepresented myself, I generally overlook it. As one might expect, Artemisians aren’t given to explaining or apologizing very often. When we do, it’s usually because we are trying to open a road of trust, but it‘s done with the strict understanding that we don’t do this very often, and with a hope that the other person will recognize that explaining things is a hassle that we’d really rather not have to deal with.
That being said, I don’t know a single witch out there who doesn’t enjoy getting a chance to strut their stuff, or show off something we’re really good at. Having trouble with the dead? Need some good luck for a job interview? Wishing to find true love? That’s what we’re good at, and we spend an awful lot of time learning more about it.It is always my hope that those around me will remember that, and will ask for help when they need it. Yes, it may seem like a hassle to have to jump through the hoops we Sorceresses put up, but there really are good reasons for doing that. One of those reasons is to help minimalize the pain you will have to go through when your wish is finally granted- nothing is free, after all, and if you’ve struggled a bit beforehand to gain aid, then perhaps the price won’t be so steep.
And of course the converse is true as well- if you have a magical issue, and you pass us over in favor of asking someone else, well... I don’t know about anyone else, but I take pride in my skills and my ability to help people, and when I’m ignored in favor of someone “nicer,” or perhaps more popular, it annoys me.And that makes it hard for me to maintain perspective when dealing with the person who hurt my feelings. As a result, I make myself harder to reach for those people.
So, moral of story? Witches are people too, and we tend to be pretty fragile where our friends are concerned. If you’re going to be friends with a witch, be really careful about how you treat them, as we’re at our best when we feel loved and supported and appreciated for our talents.
