Hubert and Cecil, here, went in for their annual exams this past week and Cecil had gained a bunch of weight! Doc says this had caused his hind feet to have red, inflamed skin on his hind feet. So he's on a diet (as soon as we figure out what that is!) and he needs to be on metacam for a while AND he needs his hind feet soaked in Epsom salts twice a day. We've repurposed a never used (! ever!) bedpan to be a guinea pig bidet! It's perfect! As you can see, he's quite comfy and could soak as long as he likes. Mr. Spock casi dormidito disfrutando de una superficie suave en donde se siente muy cómodo!!! Los conejitos necesitan una superficie suave en donde sus patitas delicadas no se vayan a lastimar. Esto es muy necesario ya que las patitas de los conejos se pueden irritar facilmente si solo caminan en pisos que son duros como el cemento o madera.

Mr. Spock enjoying soft flooring snoozing a little bit because of how comfortable he feels!!! Let's remember bunnies need soft flooring where their paws could be safe. Rabbits are very prone to getting sore hocks if they only walk on cement or hard wood flooring. Always check your bunnies paws to make sure they are fluffy and furry!
