Can I request a heacanon on how the warlords react if they get cheated on? It doesn't have to be the MC who cheats on them... but you can have how the MC heals them from that, if you want.
Oh my gosh, I am SO late on this, sorry, I was only recently reminded of my Tumblr and its been such a blast to the past! I don't watch anime much anymore because all the animes I used to follow have been completed (except One Piece obviously lol) and I have commitment issues with new animes so I ran out of things to post DX
I'd still like to answer this though! I'm just going to do a select few! ^^ If there is a specific character you wanted, let me know :)
Oda Forces:
Nobunaga:
Literally cannot fathom who would dare cheat on him and why. He's THE Nobunaga Oda???
Whoever cheated on him was most likely erm... eliminated from living. If not by him, then by Hideyoshi.
But that doesn't heal his scar. He acts like he's healed but he's not, because now he treats women like toys and there's always a 'power' struggle with them where he keeps them under his thumb no matter what.
Come MC who is nothing but trouble. It confuses him at first - how he can't tame her and she refuses to be tamed. Then it terrifies him when he realises he's in love with her.
Their romance is turbulent. He's constantly struggling to keep her under his watch and she's always trying to get away, screaming at him to stop his unhealthy obsession with control. Eventually she gets him to understand that she always comes back to him, even when he doesn't trap her, and she shows this to him, through he dedication and consistency. It's only after this does he truly love again.
Hideyoshi:
He's absolutely destroyed that the woman he loved cheated on him with Nobunaga. Yet, the most bitter part is, he can't do a thing about it.
Worse is, she's flaunting it, shoving it in his face whenever she can that she snagged THE Nobunaga. That smirk when they pass by each other really messes with him.
His self confidence is completely gone. Even at work he's second guessing himself, scared of making decisions in case they're wrong and to give another reason for that witch to laugh at him.
He just needs someone to lift him up, and when MC comes along, she does exactly that. He was mean to her at first but she never backed away, in fact, she said he was knowledgeable under that curt exterior of his.
That was all it took for Hideyoshi start looking out for her, then looking after her, then falling crazy in love with her. She made him feel worthy, needed and never brought him down. Brick by brick they rebuilt his confidence and he couldn't love her anymore for helping him find himself again (Although, compared to how was with his previous partner, he is much more clingy now).
Keiji:
His bombastic attitude goes crazy, always attention seeking, always trying to make people laugh, always trying to drown the pain away with laughter.
He's an empty shell inside though.
When he met MC, she was like a powerless lamb, taken by Nobunaga and thrust into the deadly ongoing war. Yet, there was something unnerving about her that he couldn't put his finger on.
As they spent more time together, it became apparent that she could see right through his boisterous laughs. At first, he absolutely hated it. No, he wasn't sad, he wasn't hurt, he was HAPPY just like everyone thought he was.
But slowly he eventually realised she was exactly what he needed. Someone who saw through his mask and acknowledged the pain. He felt understood. When he fell, he fell hard.
Mitsunari:
Doesn't even know he was cheated on, just knew that one day she was gone. Everyone in the castle knew she was cheating on him. It was actually Hideyoshi that got rid of her.
He keeps searching for her, but everyone keeps telling him not to look for her. He eventually stops looking, but ends up with pretty bad abandonment issues.
When MC comes, he feels like she's a pretty flower. He's interested, but scared she'll leave him. After all, she gets along with everyone, she's so pretty, kind and gentle that she could have anyone. Why would she stay by him?
Masamune actually noticed that Mitsunari was falling in love first. Hideyoshi, Masamune and Ieyasu (reluctantly) ended up watching MC very intently, wanting to make sure history doesn't repeat itself.
Mitsunari, like a puppy, follows MC everywhere, wondering when she was going to leave and not come back. When she travels to acquire exotic fabrics, he's so anxious and he can't work. But MC is communication QUEEN and reassures him. She always tells him where she's going with whom and makes sure he's never worried, even when there's a small delay, she'll send a letter ahead to make sure he's not worried.
Uesugi-Takeda Forces:
Sasuke:
Dives into research, does anything to keep himself busy. You can't tell on his face he's hurt because he's so stoic, but he's hurt. Ends up getting depression.
Sometimes drops one-liners expressing his feelings which makes Yukimura unbelievably concerned. "Yukimura, if I eat this shuriken, will she come back to me?"
Just dedicates himself to work and more work and more work. Sometimes makes rash decision and takes risky missions hoping that he'll feel something and it's always on Yukimura to snap him out of it.
When MC comes Sasuke's just a mess. It's a slow grueling process healing him. The fact they both come from the future give them something in common, and MC gets him to focus on the little joys first, she's so happy even when he just crawls out of bed for that day.
When Sasuke finds himself again, he realises how silly he was back then, tying his happiness to someone who clearly didn't care for him.
Kenshin:
The devotion this man has and a woman DARES to cheat him??? Kenshin's heart is literally locked forever. Hates women so, so much. Doesn't want to see them, doesn't want to be touched by them.
It's to the point where not even the maids can step in his sight. He just can't stand women anymore (Shingen is devastated by this as it means he can't bring women around anymore).
When Kenshin meets MC on the hill, she's probably the first women he's seen in months. He hates it, but the rest of them love her and want to keep her around, so he ends up tolerating her for their sake.
Whilst he hates women, he never has a desire to hurt them, so MC is safe in his presence, just not acknowledged. What he didn't expect was for her to start bothering him. The colder he was to her, the warmer she was to him.
It bothers him. It bothers him so much, but it's the first time he's felt interest in a women in a long time. Maybe not all women are bad... Eventually, he begins to understand that he had taken the actions of one woman who hurt him and projected them onto all women which was wrong of him to do.
What are your thoughts on the idea of a coherent XCOM: The Bureau/Enemy Within/War of the Chosen timeline? I feel like it's feasible, if you kinda go the battletech/old 40k route of saying "Well history books say this, but-this- account says"... Kind of approach to cover the gaps.
Hey, we all have our headcanons. Somebody considers this or that canon, discards something else entirely and that's how it should be. XCOM is one of those games/series where it's basically "make your own story" and fill the gaps ( YOU are the Commander in your playthroughs afterall).
As for me, I like to incorporate bits and pieces of everything. I actually enjoyed The Bureau a lot (ooooh a hot take I know), so I definitely would add some aspects of it into my AU. AND Asaru is cool ok ;)
When it comes to game timeline I've decided to cheese it by "hey, a lot of this could have been just in the Commander's head!" So I can have both complete recollection of Enemy Within, without it actually happening in-universe. It sorta ties in with how (or in what state) my Commander wakes up to the events of XCOM2/WOTC. Buuuut that's a whole other story (full of weirdness and plotholes of its own).
And for the complete beautiful mess that is the XCOM novels. Canon itself can't agree on anything (it even contradicts itself!) so take what you like. Good source of fun lore! Not to mension the classic games, so many fun ideas.
But yeah, unreliable narrator/info/sources is always an option. Besides, transdimensional aliens with reality bending psionic powers.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When I wrote Part I of “Why Can’t I have a normal day for once?”, I noticed that I forgot to mention a few small things in that post so I’m gonna address it rn:
I swapped the Latin Lines by accident bc my dumb brain at 3 am forgot to proof read before publishing so I will fix that (idk if anyone noticed but I did)
I am in the process of making Part II and III but I was thinking of just editing Part I so its a bit longer than it is rn (I would like your input but depending on my mood I might re-edit Part I which I will be mark it on the title if I do end up doing that)
I originally made the reader a female, but forgot to mention it in the title. I didn’t think I had the talent to make the reader gender-neutral and still have a good story plot. But seeing the likes I got for this story (and @riktorwrites I did notice you reblogged my post thank you so much sorry that it sounded a bit stalker-ish) I will try my best to keep the story as it is, but if you would like to see a version of this story where the reader is a female in this case, let me know
and the reason why I made these mistakes is because (1) I was using my 3 am brain which is barely functionable but creative juices flow pretty well at that time so (2) Tumblr for some reason kept deleting any last minute edits I made so I tried to edit really quickly so I can hand it in that day

Like she's got her reasons to fuck everything up just like Lewis but for now she still needs more "exploration" and I'm willing to learn more about her. Shiromori it's not my least favorite and I don't hate her character but for me she remains unexplored? I'm explaining more on the next question.

Okay so I just finished Kingdom of Ash and I'm so sad it's over but I'm so happy that everyone got a happy/hopeful ending
