little comic of the first chap of my fic :)
I gave my old man cowboy oc two boyfriends and a weird fucked up relationship with a woman who he cant help but love and be terrified by
Markvart: I remember everyone I killed...don't you?
My Henry:
mr gray being like nah i haven’t kidnapped anyone in like Forever but i did kinda show this student my gun and dislocate his shoulder so he’d get in my car so i could get answers for YOU
and gansey just being like UM okay???? can you put the student back please??
In most Silent Hill games my favourite ending is the good ending (although I also like the Alien Ending in Silent Hill 3, which keeps Harry Mason alive).
Except Silent Hill 4.
You see in all other versions the good ending helps the character, for whom Silent Hill was designed. So for Alessa, who created the monsters in 1, the good ending allows her an escape through Heather. For James, who was reminded of the murder he committed, it gave him a redemption and an adopted daughter. For Heather, whose fear of pregnancy, assault and birth created her surroundings, it allowed her to rid herself of God.
Now you’d say the good ending in SH4 keeps Henry alive and in his flat, but this hell wasn’t created for Henry. This hell was created for Walter.
Walter’s victims haunt the surrounding, Walter’s murders are in the spotlight and Walter’s past is analysed. Henry is merelythe antagonist in Walter’s story, as Harry was a side character in Alessa’s Silent Hill.
Now which ending fits Walter the most?
The 21 Sacraments
Now I’m not saying, that it’s in any way a happy ending for him, as the others are for them. I’m saying, that it’s the ending he deserves.
Alessa deserved to be given peace. James, if played the right way, deserved to move on from the death of his wife. Heather deserves to have a life free of the cult. But Walter? Walter deserves reality.
After years of suffering and being alone, Walter gets reunited with his mother. Only look at the picture above. Is that the look of a victorious man? No. That’s the look of a man who realised that the people around him lied and abused him. A man who found his belief to be a hollow lie. A man who, like so many others, was abused and used by the religious order in Silent Hill.
Walter deserves to see the truth. His mother isn’t room 203. His actions aren’t holy. The murders aren’t justified. He’s not an angel. Dahlia isn’t a good woman. The cult isn’t helpful. He isn’t circumcised.
For Walter the 21 sacraments ending is an opportunity of betterment. Of freedom from the cult. Of becoming worthy of a good ending.
If that is the path he chooses.
guess which freak decided it was a good idea to exaggerate jomies height differences
