Idk if someone already talked about this, but since Ribbit grew up mormon and then left, it’s highly likely that everyone she knew growing up (her parents, her distant family, her friends, the older women in the church and even her neighbours) would ignore her, as she’s no longer mormon.

So Jax ignoring her probably dragged all those feelings of being ostracised back up, which hurt her even more, thus in the end she abstracted.
