1st year sister with depression
Can perfectly read Tolken’s Elvish
Mother is American
Aaron was always certain that his sister, Zoe, wasn’t happy. It wasn’t so much that she was mad at her life, but Aaron could tell that there was sadness in her heart. Aaron tried to get her to open up even just a little bit but he was unsuccessful. From that point on Aaron made sure to smile big enough for the two of them, laugh loud enough for the two of them, and did everything he could to lessen Zoe’s sadness. Eventually he was able to get through to her and Zoe told him that she was struggling with depression. At first Aaron was shocked. How could his sister suffer depression? Aaron asked if and how he could help her but was told that there wasn’t much he could do to help. Aaron didn’t believe her and made sure that she knew she could always come to him for any help she needed. He also swore to himself that he would never stop being cheerful enough for the two of them.
As time went on Aaron kept trying to lessen the sadness in Zoe’s heart and she kept coming to him to talk about her depression. As much as she was against it, Aaron eventually convinced her to tell their parents. Aaron’s parents were just as shocked as Aaron was when they found out but were grateful that she told them and were proud that Aaron was able to get her to tell them. After a few weeks Zoe agreed to seeing a consoler to help deal with her depression as long as Aaron was allowed to come with her. Aaron was happy she trusted him that much and agreed to come with her. Twice a month for six months Zoe and Aaron went to her doctor to try and help cope with the depression. Then came Aaron’s eleventh birthday and his letter to Hogwarts. His mother knew exactly what it meant and began working with Aaron to get him ready. Unfortunately this meant that Aaron wasn’t able to go to the therapist with Zoe anymore and she stopped going. Aaron once again began to do anything he could to lessen her sorrows.
After he was sorted he wrote home to both his parents and to Zoe, something that became a weekly occurrence. During Aaron’s breaks he did everything he could to cheer Zoe up, and during the term he wrote everyone once a week. In one of the letters he received both his parents and Zoe told him that Zoe was showing signs of magical abilities and Aaron was overjoyed that his sister would be joining him. He made sure to tell her that if they were in the same house (and even if they weren’t) that he would keep doing everything he can to lessen the sadness she held. Time came and went and eventually it was time for Zoe’s sorting. Aaron told her that she would be a perfect fit anywhere and she told him she wanted to be in Hufflepuff with him. When the sorting hat called out Slytherin for Zoe, Aaron could see more sadness sitting on her heart. He was the first one up after the announcement and when people blocked him from her, he got up onto the bench just to make sure she knew how happy he was for her. Zoe has been able to deal with her depression rather well, but Aaron never has stopped being overly cheery for them.

thankfully, the day had turned out to be sunny in the sixth sector; not a cloud in the sky. you could practically hear the gentle tune of the soft breeze whistling through the massive abundance of blossoms within the dainty garden. with a soft sigh, the petite tamer collapsed upon a bench with her cheerful familiar mimicking her actions beside her. green eyes shifted to catch a gaze at the young greenman as her lips curled into a smile.
"We did good today, nii-chan!! All of the plants have been watered and they all seem so happy!"
her line of sight then shifted to the flora before her, all waving in the breeze as if they were doing a dance of thanks. slender fingers slowly released the handle of the rusty watering can she had bought from a small shop within the same sector. without a second thought, the tamer leapt off of the wooden bench and stretched her arms until her shoulder made a lovely pop. she then looked down at her greenman who was, once again, mimicking the girl, stretching his own arms before ending with a happy "nii."
"You know, it's been a while since we've practiced our skills, huh, nii-chan?"
the familiar grinned and nodded his head before nimbly leaping upon her shoulder, throwing his arms up with a determined grunt. shiemi laughed softly before walking to a more isolated part of her garden, as to not frighten any of the citizens who were walking around the borders of her garden.
"Alright, Nii-chan, are you ready? We only have four chances, it seems!"
at that, the familiar put his leafy hands upon his hips, before pointing at her with a big grin. he then jumped upon the ground, the grasses which were strewn out along the soil began to absorb into his small feet, causing his body to grow practically to the size of the tamer herself.
"Well, it's good to know that we can still do that, huh? Now, i think we only have three more chances left."
the greenman pat the blonde's head cheerfully before making a defensive stance, ready to summon anything the tamer could think of.
