Hor-rom-com Snippet
Andy poured wine out of a dusty bottle with a cap shaped like a crystal skull. Green liquid poured into their glasses as a mist exited the bottle. The smell was strong enough to make him wince, but Lola sighed blissfully. Not wanting to be a bad guest, he clanged his glass with hers and drank the concoction. A strong sour sensation rolled around Andy’s tongue as his face contorted with each second.
“A problem, dear?” Lola asked. “Is the wine too strong for you?”
“You can say that,” Andy wheezed.
He put the glass down and gazed into Lola’s brown eyes that fluttered with expectancy. He scooted closer to her and held her fingers, giving his best raised brow and grin.
“Even the strongest wine doesn’t make me as weak as you do.”
She giggled warmly and he pressed his lips to her knuckles, feeling wet warmth from his passion. His boldness grew as he kissed farther up her slender, long arms with rapid succession. Soon he found himself merely a foot away from her and her alluring black coated lips.
Andy’s reached toward Lola’s long curly black hair to caress the coils. They closed their eyes and pursed their lips as they prepare for an intimate kiss. Before they could reach contact, between them was a dangling spider.
“Do you need anything, monsieur?” the spider chirped.
Andy opened his eyes briefly. “Oh no thank you, talking spider.”
His eyes tried to close again before widening from the sight and sound. The shock flung Andy off his chair with a powerful thud. Lola rushed over to help him up.
“Dear, are you alright?!”
“I think so… Just give me some heart meds.”
The spider returned with its front legs carrying an orange medicine bottle and squeaked.
“This yours, sir?”
“Yes, thank y-”
The sight once more made him bug-eyed and knocked him out. Lola placed her hands on her hips and sighed as the spider gently placed the bottle on Andy’s chest.
“It’s always the good ones that are faint at heart...”
