i wouldn't mind the vees using angel to their advantage, if they do it like the capitol did with peeta in the hunger games; and vox hypnotises angel to turn on the hotel and makes him say propaganda against the hotel on TV and the hotel staff has to watch and try to rescue angel but when they do, he just wants to kill them
you cant see it but jervis tucked a card into his back pocket.
i've been sitting on the idea of a RT who's trans, but doesn't come out to their LI until theyre about to get to third base and beyond because of a bad experience they had with a previous partner...
like not so much how the LI would react to the RT being trans (i think most of them wouldn't care honestly. there's much more important things to worry about in the 40k universe lol)
but how they'd react to the RT being so nervous or stressed to tell them about it. that someone made them feel bad about it in the past.
forgive me if this is too much I just needed to share with someone ♡♡
i think most of them would be reassuring, and kind, if it helps? even marazhai, who is the most unkind motherfucker on the planet, probably wouldn't care, because he comes from a culture that is extremely loose (and sometimes extremely strict) with its gender roles anyways.
honestly, he probably just scoffs. the idea of being nervous about that doesn't register in his mind.
the complexity around this is that being trans, and the nervousness of being trans and telling someone about that, coupled with how they were rejected/made to feel poorly about it, is such a unique experience, both good and bad, for each transgender person. likewise, how ones whole gender identity as a whole is unique to them.
so how the companions reassure them, and talk about this "issue" with them would be unique to each rogue trader, and their [the rts] own views of their gender identity + how the rogue trader views that gender identity meshing with their romance partner + any previous bad experiences/trauma/issues they have.
and i'm not trans, nor have i ever felt the need to experiment with my gender expression, as i've been in the very privileged position of being comfortably cisgender my whole life, so i'm not sure i have any right to be discussing it/matters relating to it? i can empathize, and support, but as a cisgender person, i won't ever "get it."
because i don't have any experience with this, i have lots of trans/LGBTQ+ friends, even some who have been nervous about coming out to me, but i still cannot grasp the full depth of the situation/reactions/feelings around this because it is an experience i cannot even begin to decipher the depth of, and to fumble around and try and guesstimate on it would be callous at best.
i genuinely would encourage you to discuss this with other trans members of the community, or explore it yourself creatively. i do have transgender rogue traders + fully support the idea of them, but i don't butt into discussions like this purely because it is straight up not my place, and i cannot see a cisgendered persons opinion being relevant, or even wanted, in these discussions.
oh yeah get the horse to help you mend all your broken books, it'll be a riot
a friend convinced me to start playing warframe and i was like wow a robot(?) assistant character guy who makes terrible puns and adores you... my favourite character type... then i put him in the rotomdex casing as a shitpost because i DEEPLY desire to carry ordis around in my pocket. why is he "ship cephalon" where even is he. is he in a part of the ship i don't have access to yet. why can't i pat him gently or prod him with my stylus how is this even fair. also what is wrong with him
