A week ago, I tried the Sorting Ceremony to see if I’ll be assigned to a new house. To my surprise, I was sorted to Ravenclaw, but I chose to stay in Hufflepuff. . Unsortable Student

So we know that magical children can be born with a natural talent for Legilimency (e.g. Queenie), but what if there are children who are born with a natural talent for Occlumency? Imagine a child born with the capability to block out Legilimens, but of course they wouldn’t know because it’s never been brought to their attention by a legilimens. This child grows up believing they’re just a normal kid, however, come the day of their sorting, something very peculiar and completely unheard of occurs. They place the Sorting Hat on their head and the hat goes to delve into their mind in order to sort them, but it’s unable to do so. So the hat is really confused because it’s like this kid’s head is empty? But then it realises and it politely asks if the child could open his mind but they’re confused and don’t know how to, so the hat’s just like ‘okay, kiddo, just pick a house.” But the child is EXTREMELY indecisive and can’t make up their mind and the hat is just getting shitter and shittier until eventually it goes way beyond a hatstall and the Great Hall is slowly spiraling into chaos.
