It's taken me almost two weeks to write this draft, and there's a reason for that. It's pretty bad. Over the course of writing these episodes, I've felt that some have been good, some really good, some not so good and some bad. This one is really, frustratingly bad. I have an odd feeling it's gonna need a total page one rewrite when I come back to it at some point in the future. I struggled through every scene, with only a few sections giving me hope and joy (one of which is probably my favourite in the whole series thus far, though, so that's not too bad). BUT I know that's gonna happen. Not every day is gonna be golden, and I'm not always gonna leave my keyboard thinking my work is great. It isn't. Far from, in this case. But it will be. One day, I'll come back to this episode and everything that frustrates me about it, everything that is wrong with it will be removed and reshaped and fixed. Until I can look at it and be proud. But until that point, this is it. A very VERY rough first draft. And with it, some writing lessons I won't forget.
