Some doodles I did of Asriel being an edgy kid and stuff, all as a result of the personality he developed when he was a talking flower… (he's basically Flowey the Flower... but gote!)

Now, regarding the last panel, I find it very odd that Flowey would show an ounce of caring in the post pacifist epilogue and the alarm clock dialogue even though Flowey states that he can’t because his soul is long gone. Plus, after the Asriel boss battle in Undertale ends, shouldn’t he turn back into Flowey as soon as he releases all the Souls he absorbs?

I imagined that a piece of Asriel’s Soul survived and that Flowey ended up carrying it throughout his existence. That soul shard would account for the little inconsistencies in Flowey's edgy persona he's trying to present himself to us. And even if he gains a Soul, it's not really gonna magically give him back the love and compassion he lost. (see the Omega Flowey boss battle). This is what I essentially did with Asriel's resurrection, take a page from the Dreemurr Reborn AU, and have Frisk restore Asriel via their SOUL's Determination, but Asriel retains Flowey's personality. To me, Flowey is part of Asriel's character development and even though Asriel has been restored, I don't think the development he had as "Flowey" would go away. So if I continue this AU, one of the main goals is to have Asriel rebuild his Soul, piece by piece. Perhaps then, Asriel will truly be saved. The path to redemption is easier said than done however, and his old Flowery habits die hard...

Consider this: *Asriel on a field trip with Frisk and the rest of their class* *Looking over the zoo railing into an animal enclosure* Random kid: get out of the way, freaks!! I wanna see the tiger too!!! *shoves Frisk to the side, almost making them fall in* Asriel: * grabs the kid* Shove either of us again and I will throw you in with it! Kid: You monsters are crazy, you all belong in cages too!! *Asriel slowly lifts the kid over the railing* Asriel: and you belong in hell .... YEEEEEET

asriel is that kid that would spread spooky roomers when he’s in school and telling his fellow classmates that a certain room is haunted or that someone died a long long time ago just to mess with the other kids and laugh about it, frisk tried their best to stop him but ya boi asriel was like “lol no ur not my dad”

and when hegets caught and sent to the principles office he’ll have this face “:3” and when papyrus picks him up he’d be like “I made a lot of friends today! :D”
